Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

The reservation was to introduce a out-of-town visitor to the Oysterette. Started with a dozen East Coast Oysters which were an excellent appetizer and a perfect way to start. She next had Redfish on the Half Shell while I had the Sicilian Seafood Salad and we shared the Green beans and Parker House Rolls nothing left on either plate. All of this was accompanied by a nice French Vouvray that complemented the food quite well. Finished with the Bred Pudding - magnificent.

A hidden Gem. the lobster bisque was amazing. Not searching for the meat. I had the Twin Lobster tails! OMG one of the best i ever had. My dad had the broiled seafood platter. Winner! HIghly recommend this place. the old fashion i ordered did not taste like one, but, who cares...great experience.

The spinach and artichoke dip was a little too thick in my opinion, but everything else was FANTASTIC. I had the special Red Snapper, it was amazing, and my husband had the Tuna Filet, it was also amazing.

Excellent dinner with a friend. Chargrilled oysters are the best in the Southwest.

Liberty kitchen has become one of our ‘to-go’ places for Sunday Brunch, as they open/serve Brunch earlier than a. Lot of places nearby, and as such it’s rarely crowded before noon (which is when we typically dine). The food is always fresh and hot, and served promptly.

Only thing that tasted fresh was the shrimp cocktail. Everything else was covered in cream and/or butter. Restaurant was less than half full on a Saturday night which I suppose means others agree. Service was below average. This was more of a Red Lobster experience vs. what I remember it being 10 years ago.

Fish tacos and redfish on the halfshell were both fantastic, as always. My wife's first visit, she can't wait to go back!
