   The remodel of the dining area is bright and modern & very attractive. Our steamed mussels starter was very tasty, but would have been better if the mussels were all in the hot broth, rather than stacked. Top layer cooled off too quickly. We had the mutton snapper which was cooked nicely & was flakey, but could have used more seasoning or a sauce. The roasted Brussels sprouts were roasted with ham bits. They also could have used a bit more seasoning and maybe a drizzle of honey. The polenta was wonderful. Kitchen was a little slow, but not a big issue. Servers were pleasant & attentive.

   We stayed at Faro Blanco for family vacation and ate at the Lighthouse Kitchen and bar several times. Never had any bad food. I especially loved the burger. Good food and great atmosphere.

   The food was good and the service was very good, but I have a complaint. I paid in cash, and the hotel has already charged three amounts to my credit card. I have already filed a complaint on the hotel’s website, through the Expedia app where I made the reservation, and now here. So far, I have not received any response.

   Very good meal and caring service. But we had to wait for almost 3/4 of an hour before our meal was served.

   Restaurant has a great setting on the marina and the food is very good. However, they were not staffed to handle the dinner crowd even though restaurant was only half to two thirds full. We waited 20 minutes for a server to take our order and another 45-60 minutes for our food. Unfortunate because this could be a destination restaurant

   We asked at the beginning if the paella would take longer than a typical entree. The answer was a quick ‘No’. So, we had an appetizer and then waited for dinner. Twice our server came by and said she’d be back soon with our order. After more than an hour, management came over and apologized for the ‘mishap’ with our order. She offered us complimentary drinks for our trouble (not sure what the mishap was) and then 20 minutes later our paella arrived. It was very good. We then ordered dessert and that took about 15 minutes to arrive. At that point we had 3 different people checking on us, but not sure they were communicating with each other. Good food, but the amount of time it took to be served was not acceptable. I’d give them a second chance, but would insure I had plenty of time to dine.

   Beautiful location by the marina in Marathon Key. Mix of all ages, so not a romantic spot, but beautifully decorated. Food was OK. Less than expected, with some highlights. Flank steak was good.
