Award-winning Chef Juan Gomez, who helped República garner best new restaurant nods from Bon Appétit and James Beard, is taking a more personal approach to PNW cuisine. Recently nominated one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the Country by the New York Times, Lilia offers dishes like Pork Collar Confit and fresh Aguachile, leaning on Chef Juan's Mexican-American roots while showcasing hyper-seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The airy, unpretentious space and breezy patio befit the South Waterfront vibe.

We enjoyed our experience at Lilia Comedor and would definitely return. The staff were welcoming and responsive, and the dishes were delicious. The ambiance was perfect for our V Day dinner date!

Outstanding food in a very comfortable restaurant. We sat at the counter and chatted with one of the owner chefs. We loved doing that, and watched how all the food was being prepared and finished. It's pricey for Portland, but we felt that the level of the Mexican-inspired cooking was so high, it warranted the price. Certainly one of the best experiences we've had in restaurants in a long time. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. The food was creative, and outstanding even more than our high expectations. And their drinks were also thoughtfully created. I could highly recommend for a special occasion dining out. We are looking forward to have another memorable dinner in a near future.

Food is amazing, service warm and impeccable, great wine. Perhaps the best restaurant in PDX, in my opinion.

Good excellent tad spicy Parking horrible and they need decaf coffee. Service and quality great and nuance of food exciting. Highly recommend

Incredible experience with the chef’s tasting menu. Every dish outdid the one before, and it was blowing my mind. You know in Ratatouille when the rat is trying to show his brother ✨flavor✨ and when he’s eating the grapes and cheese and there’s like fireworks and colors swirling? This chef makes food that makes you see/feel the fireworks and colors for real. It’s so surprising, inventive and delicious. Every ingredient shines like it’s the star. Seriously a can’t miss experience that you will drool over and think about even years later.
