   Roberto was our Server, he was kind, charismatic and knew the menu well. He had great suggestions and made the wonderful food even more enjoyable!! 10/10 recommend!

   Inviting entrance, delightful decor highlighting lemons, Italian handmade pasta & glass floral chandeliers. Warm welcome from wait staff. Delicious wine selection & varied menu. I highly recommend the House Merlot. It is slightly fruity & quite smooth. The bread is fresh, includes Italian loaf & focaccia slices and is served with a tasty compound butter. Two of us selected Occobuco and were very happy with our choice. The pork was tender & well seasoned. The accompanying risotto was creamy and the spinach sautéed to perfection. The five cheese fettuccini pasta was theatrically prepared in an aged cheese wheel combining fresh cream & cheese both torch heated to an incredibly delicious, creamy al dente dish. The Pollo Franchise was moist, tender & served with earthy seasoned sautéed mushrooms, whipped potatoes & crunchy broccolini. All dishes arrived piping hot and each member of my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals.. Roberto was attentive, gracious & kind. The birthday tiramisu was delivered in a copper dish with a lighted candle. The mascarpone was creamy & minimally sweet with a light dusting of chocolate powder both of which set this dessert apart from all others I have tried. The heartfelt rendition of Happy Birthday led by Roberto was melodic & joyful. The noise level made table discussion a bit difficult. Acoustic adjustments would only enhance this wonderful & delectable dining experience. We will be back. Limoncello is a must visit in La Mesa!

   We always enjoy an evening at Limincello. The food is delicious and beautifully presented and service is consistently top shelf. In terms of ambience, the restaurant is charming-bright and cheery with citrus tones throughout and gorgeous tile details.

   Our second visit to Limoncello in La Mesa. Love the upscale Italian restaurant in village. Authentic Sicilian staff and cuisine. Very welcoming and enjoyable. We had the arancini which were amazing, Cheese-wheel lobster pasta, and filet mignon. All were prepared very well. Limited, but good and affordable wine list. We will be back again.

   I went there with half a dozen friends to celebrate my birthday, and I could not have picked a more lovely location with any more delicious food! It was awesome! The service was spot on, very attentive, and entertaining. Everyone said their dish was wonderful and unique. It is a bit loud, and they could use a little bit more acoustic dampening in the place. But that is a minor thing compared to the overall experience, which was fantastic!

   A group of friends and I came here for restaurant week. Everything was great until dinner…. Two of us in the party of 7 ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was like eating a brick of salt. They were kind enough to take it back and make us a new dish. The second dish was just as salty. We were told we shouldn’t add any shredded cheese and to add lots of black pepper and this would lessen the taste of salt. I think the cooks added way too much salt into the pasta water but maybe made too much of it and didn’t want to take a loss by throwing out the salty pasta.
