   We absolutely love every dinner there! I have never once been let down by their amazing food, delicious cocktails or incredible service! Cannot say enough amazing things about this place!

   I rate their burger, one of the very best in the entire state of Hawaii hands-down absolutely delicious though this evening was a disappointment. We’ve always found the food to be excellent, prime rib, risotto, their entire menu, but the service tends to vary depending on the day or who’s working. This evening it appeared that nobody working was in a good mood and our server had major attitude and just didn’t seem to care. We had asked for a drink to come when we sat down, and after two other reminders, it only appeared at our table halfway through our meal.

   The jalapeño cornbread is a MUST. The prime rib was perfectly cooked. The service and cleanliness impeccable. A new Top 5 spot in Honolulu.

   My guests noted the metal chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. Maybe it’s to encourage turnover. The food was tasty, wide variety. Servers were busy, but did their best to deal with a 630 rush after symphony at Hawaii Theatre. Glad they were open. Glad I’d made a reservation!

   As someone who doesn’t work in downtown, eating out in downtown is a rare treat. Since we were going to a show for an early Valentine’s Day date at the Hawaii Theatre, we jumped at the opportunity to try one of the many restaurants in the area. After assessing a couple of different restaurant menus and reviews, we landed on Livestock Tavern. LT’s menu is a bit of a rarity in Hawaii - meat-forward with a supporting cast of seasonal ingredients. We were really excited to try something new, but overall left disappointed. 1. The entrance to the restaurant is a huge shattered glass door, which was not very welcoming. 2. Service is awkward. We arrived at 5:15, so it was not busy, but it just felt like the servers were nervous and/or overwhelmed the whole time. We weren’t greeted well, server knocked our wine menu into our plates, forgot to take back our menus after we ordered, didn’t seem to understand anything we said unless we reiterated, and just lots of awkward, uncomfortable interactions throughout the night. For the price per plate, I don’t think it’s out of this world to expect service to be trained and welcoming to guests. 3. We didn’t like two of the dishes we ordered (equivalent to $50+) and barely touched them after trying. The servers happily took the dishes away before we finished them without asking if there was any issues with the food, which makes me feel like they know the food is bad or they don’t care? For a $150+ dinner for two, it was nice to try something new, but I won’t be returning.

   Love the Rissoto. Had some great appetizers and main dishes. Perfect dry martinis. Lots of interesting specials to choose from on the menu.

   Had the price rib melted in mouth so tender. Staff was super best so far on trip from Michigan

   We tried a number of things on our first visit. Brussel sprouts/sweet potato combination dish was good as was the lobster/artichoke dip. They were very busy with lots of pre-concert goers; service was VERY slow. Will try again during off hours to see if it's better.
