Llerena takes its name from a little village in Extremadura, southwest Spain, where four generations of our family has raised Iberian pigs since 1939, producing authentic "Bellota" jamón ibérico, chorizo and other pork delicacies. Our family created a business around the farm called Jamón y Salud to sell our gourmet products and has now brought this exquisite taste of Spain to Islington with the Llerena Ibérico Tapas Bar. Not only can you sample ibérico pork grilled meats and finest jamón, but also creamy Torta del Casar cheese and other traditional Extremadura's delights as well as the best wine from our region.

    Fabulous night ! First visit to this beautiful restaurant, food was amazing, staff friendly, will definitely be back, we had the asparagus, blue cheese & Stilton croquettes., which were devine, beef medallions, pastas bravado & spicy chorizo, wonderfully authentic.

    The food was genuinely Spanish, and really tasty (special mention to the iberico ham!) and it was served fairly quickly. The environment was very relaxed, and the waitress kind and helpful. We will come back for sure

    La Llerena is a hidden gem in Islington. Amazing Spanish food with great service. You can genuinely tell that the food here is made by people who are proud of Spanish cuisine. On days when Alberto (the owner) is manning the kitchen, please make sure to order the ham croquetas (not on the menu). This is the one restaurant that my family, my friends and I keep coming by back to time and time again. Thank you for always making us feel welcome!
