Food was very good. Unfortunately one of the specials was sold out even though it was early. Apps were excellent. The ratatouille was phenomenal. I had the bolognese which was very good. All in all, very enjoyable.

Food was average. Place was so noisy we could barely hear each other. Don’t order the garlic bread. You can get better in the frozen section at the supermarket. They wait for you to order and then bring out their house bread which was probably the best tasting thing we had.

Long time LoConte’s diner going back to when we lived in the North End in the late 90s. Change in ownership and menu is a major downgrade. Won’t be back. Food was expensive, recipes changed, and staff was clearly not interested.

Food was excellent, portions were large. Great restaurant, prices very reasonable. Staff very friendly. Only drawback is that only beer and wine license if that’s a concern.

Booked a table well in advance. Confirmed by text message - arrive just before the booking to find a closed restaurant. Tried to call; no answer. Search on Facebook and it’s closed for the 4th July weekend. Why accept the booking???

I was looking for a good ole home cooked Italian meal and this place hit the spot. Kids all loved it, cozy atmosphere, and the food was delicous.

My wife and I, and three guests, ate an early dinner at LoConte’s on Sunday, June 2d, after a show at the Boston Opera House. (It’s a 5 minute walk from the Haymarket parking garage.) Having spent two weeks in Italy in early May, I am delighted to say that the food and the service at LoConte’s is on par with any, and better than most, of the wonderful restaurants we recently visited in Italy. Over the years we have been invited to eat at other restaurants good restaurants in the North End, but when it’s our choice, we choose LoConte’s. They make you feel welcome and the food & service are great.
