Voted Best New Business in Baldwin County, Local and Company Food+Drink is a great new upscale American cuisine restaurant that is quickly becoming a social gathering place for residents of Foley, and the surrounding cities. The restaurant is located in the Old Armory building on the corner of Hwy 59, and Section Street. The Old Armory has been brought back to life with her architectural elements in place and her history forever and fondly remembered by the community. Local and Company is locally owned and operated and was designed with the local community at the forefront. Open now for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturday!

This is one of our favorite places to eat, so I made a reservation to bring my wife for her birthday. Our waiter was more focused on everything else going on in the restaurant than us. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer and we both ordered the filet mignon cooked medium. The cauliflower was delicious as it always is, however when we got our drinks we were not offered any straws and I could not get our waiter’s attention to ask for them. When we got our filets everything was good and hot except for the steak. This is because they were not cooked correctly. Mine was cooked just barely medium rare and my wife’s was rare, well closer to raw. The waiter did not check on us until we were ready to leave and when I showed him my wife’s steak he did offer to cook another but it was too late we were ready to leave. He didn’t even comp anything on our ticket either. Needless to say we will not be back anytime soon.

We're not really ones to complain. I try and think of a bad meal as part of the price you pay for being able to find new, good restaurants. Bad experiences are a fact of life, and that if you want to find good restaurants, you need to be willing to try new ones realizing they could be bad. "Oh well, we just won't go there again," is usually where it stops. MAN, not Local & Co. I actually feel motivated the morning afterwards to write this. I'll keep complaints brief. The food is insanely expensive for what it is, and the quality isn't really there despite the pretense of the restaurant being on the upscale side. It has an 84 health score, which raised our eyebrows a bit. Our table didn't really feel "clean" either. Menu descriptions sound appealing, but then confusing decisions are made when it comes to execution, like heavily salting a ball of burrata for a tomato burrata salad and using (a lot) of hoisin sauce as the base of an Asian style pizza. We also had the worst service we've had in *years.* Our waitress didn't even introduce herself to us when we sat down, or go through specials. Service was slow despite it being early, the kitchen being completely staffed, and the restaurant was slow. Highly recommend you go *anywhere* else.

We enjoyed our Valentine's dinner at Local. We love the creativity of the menu and the robust wine selection. Our server was very attentive and kept the table well served. Food was delicious and the wine was spectacular. Enjoyed the quiet of the event space room. This restaurant always delivers for an excellent dining experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful meal and excellent service by Deborah. Buffalo Cauliflower to start with perfect heat. The salmon with garlic spinach was perfectly grilled. Crème Brûlée and Apple Bread Pudding to finish the meal!

Nice restaurant with good, fresh-tasting food, a good bar service and a nice menu variety. Fish tacos, shrimp tacos, seafood fettuccini, quinoa bowl, house salad… all very good. Espresso martini excellent.
