Located in the heart of Marina del Rey, Locanda Positano is a hidden gem in the Los Angeles food scene. Cozy and romantic, this family-owned restaurant serves high-end authentic Italian dishes paired with imported wines hand selected by our sommelier. A few must-try dishes from Chef Michelangelo Pinto's seasonally driven menu include Pappardelle al Cinghiale-- pappardelle with wild boar, Branzino al Livornese, or the Tagliatelle with shaved Italian Black Truffles. Dine under the stars on the private patio for the ultimate al fresco experience or inside surrounded by a rotating collection of artwork from our in-house art gallery and studio.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always exceptionally good and their service is always warm and attentive. We love the steak and lasagna and come back often because it always is a delight.

Celiac dining is safe here. Always lovely to get superb food with food restrictions. We love coming to this charming spot.

Have loved this small restaurant for years. Cozy, comfortable, welcoming. Great food. Was here with friends and really enjoyed the evening.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in LA. Quiet, spectacular food, amazing service. Family run, beautifully prepared Italian food. A hidden gem.

Disappointing is an understatement. Ordered the halibut (@$44) and the portion was TINY, probably a 3oz piece of fish, was only a couple of bites. The flavors were good but the portion was a joke. Also ordered the seafood pasta, flavor was bland and in the description on the menu it said it had scallops. But what they meant was one scallop, not plural. When we asked we were told that they didn't see the dish (bizarre since they prepared and delivered it), implying we ate it and then lied about there being only one. Pretty offensive. We ended up ordering a third entree since we (two of us) were still hungry due to the minuscule piece of fish. At the end of the meal our server dropped the dessert menu and we said we were interested. We were seated near a table of women, and he was spending a lot of time flirting with them. Not really any of our business but became frustrating as he completely ignored us. After about 10 mins of waiting to order I got up and asked if we could order dessert. He said if we were in a hurry we should have told him so because he can talk to his guests if he wants. Pretty strange "customer service." We told him we weren't in any particular hurry however we'd been waiting there for quite a while to order while he was chatting away, with no end in sight as far we could tell. He told me I was rude. First time I've been insulted by a server beac case I asked if I could place an order. Overall, horrific experience and won't be going back.

You are not welcome even if you wanted too. As soon you walked in I could tell that you where a diffulcut customer and I did advise you to leave and go somewhere else. Have a good life!

We took the recommendations of the maitre-de, and our 3 entrees (branzini, steak, and pasta with wild boar— were absolutely superb.

Nice little restaurant. Good service and good food but very expensive. We had the burrata caprese, and I had the ravioli…Nero. My mother had one of the veal dishes. We finished with tiramisu. While everything was good, I wasn’t wowed. For the price, I should have been.
