    Typically I really enjoy this restaurant. This time was far from the usual experience. The server was friendly but not very attentive. Which can be annoying when wanting to enjoy your meal but missing items. The imperial crab add on was expired. The odor was so strong we all smelled it at the table. How that could be missed is puzzling. My salad was bitter and old. And the usually amazing she crab soup was salty. Being as though it was my birthday I was very disappointed and underwhelmed.

    We ordered drinks shortly after being seated but had to wait a long time for them. We ordered bread and had to wait for it. Soup was brought but it wasn’t hot and had to be sent back for a hot bowl. My wife’s dish was spicy which wasn’t part of the description on the menu. My dish was delicious. Dessert was excellent.

    I’ve taken friends here many times because its location is very convenient for me. Sometimes the food is very good, but today, unfortunately, it was below average - and definitely not worth the high prices charged.

    Great selection of oysters, beautifully shucked. The hostess always wants to seat us at the worst table so we sit at the bar to dine and the bartenders are brilliant mixologists.
