Lona is a dynamic modern Mexican restaurant brought to life by the creative collaboration of renowned chefs Richard Sandoval and Pablo Salas and aims to redefine the Mexican dining experience by combining traditional flavors with contemporary techniques and artistic presentation.

At Lona, guests will be immersed in a lively atmosphere that pays homage to Mexico's rich culinary heritage while embracing the spirit of innovation. The menu showcases a fusion of regional Mexican cuisines, featuring an array of bold and authentic flavors. From delectable street food favorites to refined dishes inspired by ancient recipes, Lona offers a culinary journey that celebrates the diversity and complexity of Mexican gastronomy.

Me and my boyfriend tried this restaurant for the first time and it was truly amazing they treated us so great and made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing, the drinks were also outstanding. The vibe was incredible music was perfect. We had an overall amazing service thank you Lona we will be back soon

Amazing food !! Highly recommend the lobster quesadilla and fish tacos. Upbeat atmosphere. Good for couples and/ or families.

Service was slow. Never asked for additional drinks or refills on water. Food was okay.

We were staying at the JW Marriott and decided to eat close to the Amalie Arena for a show. We sat outside, even though it was facing the street side and not water side, it was a lot quieter than inside. Our waitress was great, offering recommendations, etc. We had the crab 'guacamole' which was excellent! Lots of pieces of lump crabmeat on top of a pile of fresh quac and served with chips. My husband had the salmon entree which had a nice spice of sauce on the top. I had the shrimp and crab enchiladas which were really good, came with side order of street corn, dellish! Also went a little earlier and hit Happy Hour, so we had great margaritas for a great price! Would recommend!

Been seeing a lot of IG posts about this restaurant so we came with high hopes. Service and ambiance were excellent but food not as great as expected. Chips were stale (had to order a new batch), while ingredients were very fresh many of the dishes lacked flavor and salt and were overpriced for what they were. I think this is a great place for happy hour but for 140$ for a dinner for 2 way too overpriced given the food quality. The cocktails were a7.5/10.
