Celebrated chef Pablo Salas brings Lona Cocina Tequileria to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Lona, offers an eclectic, modern twist on traditional Mexican cooking in a chic, yet funky environment. A diverse menu includes ceviches, crab-infused guacamole, tostadas, tacos, meats from the grill and shareable sides at an affordable price. The place is located nicely opposite the beach and has a nice vibe. The food was not bad but not special in any way. Service was only average. Drinks were very good.

Food and service were both pretty subpar minus the churros which were excellent and the Baja fish tacos which were pretty tasty. Every single time, we basically had to wait to make eye contact with the waiter from across the restaurant if we needed something. I ordered the chicken fajitas and was pretty disappointed. They came out not sizzling and in a pool of water.

Went based on time out review. Waitress could have cared less if we were there. Food is very average. Sizzling fajitas were warm, not sizzling and bland. Patron mezcal drinks way too sweet. One couple was FaceTiming loudly and asked the waitress to speak to them and she did nothing. Overall….i would stay away.

We had one of the worst meals ever. Not one single dish we ordered was done well, from taste to presentation. We left hungry after we paid $168. In addition, the service was really slow and inattentive. Drinks arrived 45 minutes after we were seated. Our server was nowhere to be found. He never cleared the table nor asked why we hadn’t even touched our meals when he brought the check. Service charge of of 18% was automatically added to our check although it wasn’t earned. Not wanting to ruin our day, we just paid the bill and left. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Be careful of their service charge. They couldn’t seat us as a table of 7 but charged us as a large party. Good food and good service
