Celebrated chef Pablo Salas brings Lona Cocina Tequileria to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Lona, offers an eclectic, modern twist on traditional Mexican cooking in a chic, yet funky environment. A diverse menu includes ceviches, crab-infused guacamole, tostadas, tacos, meats from the grill and shareable sides at an affordable price. The outdoor patio and bar offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean and beach serving a special menu of snacks, small plates and tacos as well as a selection of agave-centric craft cocktails, freshly-made margaritas, house-made sangrias, Micheladas (perfect for the beachfront vibe) and, for true tequila worshipers, agave flights. Excellent tortilla soup and roasted chicken quesadilla. Half price on a glass of wine too. Service was very good. This is the third time we have dined here while in Fort Lauderdale and we’ll definitely be back.

We’ve here a few times (every time we come for a cruise) and the service has always been subpar. Servers and service staff are friendly but it takes forever to get a server to come to or revisit your table. Perhaps, staging levels need to be re-considered but the slow service definitely sours the experience that could be great because of the food.

Needs to be more servers working the outside patio. Our server barely visited our table and food and drinks took forever to come out. Drinks were never refilled, had to wave down bussers and food runners for everything because server was nowhere to be found. She maybe visited our table 3 times in the 2 hours we were there. Table next to us had no food or drinks or server a whole hour into us being there. Good food and ambiance but the service completely ruined the entire dinner.

Service was great at the bar and the table. Richard’s food recommendations were on point and absolutely everything was delicious. I can’t remember the last time I had such an excellent meal. 10/10 would come back.
