   It was my first time at a Lonestar Cantina, and it was very disappointing. I was always a fan of the Lonestar Grill, but this is a new chapter for them. The food was more expensive and not as much quantity as before. It is a great place to go with people from work if you want to have a few drinks, as that seems to be what most of the people there were doing.  but if you’re looking for the delicious Tex-Mex menu that epitomized them, this is not the place to go, any more. My better experience recently is at another Ontario chain called one eyed jacks… oddly enough their menu includes Tex-Mex and it’s very good

   Food and renovated restaurant are fantastic. We were sat as a family at a bar table though, welcomed by a great server, and then forgotten about, had to ask for help and our bill from someone else.

   Food and drinks tasted good but $26 for 3 tacos and it doesn’t include sides?! Too pricey for what you get in my opinion. Also, I informed the waiter that we were celebrating my son’s birthday and he did not bring anything for him meanwhile everyone else around us were getting candles and a dessert. Very disappointing.

   Fresh, authentic tasting, and very delicious! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming- a great place for local pint, s and to catch up with friends. Highly recommend!

   The staff was friendly and prompt. Hardly any wait time for food and drinks. Great food, great service.

   Quality of food was amazing, portions were great, “Table Guacamole “ was the best my guests had ever eaten. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

   Order the chicken and beef fajitas for two and make sure to try the house made hot sauce! It is amazing.

    We’ve dined at Lonestar Cantina twice now, and while our first visit left us impressed, our second visit this past weekend felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. During our initial experience, we truly enjoyed the generous portions and the flavorful fajita platter that stood out as a highlight. However, on our second visit, we noticed the portion sizes seemed smaller, particularly the amount of meat, and the fajita platter we loved was absent. That said, the food remains delicious. The service continues to be a strong point—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Overall, while we wish for more consistency in portion sizes lone star still delivers on taste and service. We hope our next visit will align more closely with the high standards of our first. Rating: 4/5 Lonestar Cantina
