Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Loom offers a "festive atmosphere" and "delicious cocktails," but experiences vary. While some diners praise "great service" and "fantastic food," others note inconsistent service and menu execution. The restaurant shows potential, especially with talented Chef Jayson, but improvements in service and menu variety could enhance the overall dining experience.

Everything was beautiful and the ambiance was just what I was looking for Valentine's Day with my wife. Food was impeccably delicious and the service was nothing less than spectacular.

The service was very good. The food was not good especially for the price. The fried green tomatoes were especially bad. The tomatoes were hard. Not a good value!

Had a horrible experience the last time, but thought I’d give it another try. Girls brunch after sitting for 20 mins I finally got up and asked if someone could come over so we can order drinks. There were 4 tables including us so not busy at all! Finally got someone to come over we ordered mimosas - after 10 mins she come back over to tell us that the manager had to go get champagne…. It’s a Saturday at 1130 (brunch) and you’re not prepared??? Ok fast forward to ordering and one of my friends asked about the shrimp and cornbread - our waitress said I don’t know this is my first time working in the morning…. Moving on to getting our meals - eggs overcooked - steak undercooked - breakfast potatoes tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. Just NASTY! Such a shame it is a beautiful restaurant. Never coming back!

This place is horrible. Honestly. I thought prior reviews were maybe a one-off but we went for the NYE special and there was zero atmosphere. No mood lighting. People walking off the street in jeans as we were sat at a table in literally the center of the room. It felt like we were on display as we were the only people eating like, "see, people eat here!" The salads were awful and I would say they were bland if they hadnt been so bitter because of the raw cabbage. I'm fairly certain mine had dirt in it because there was a weird tasteless texture that felt gritty, like dirt. Honestly, I'm going to say with 99.9% positivity it was dirt. We didn't finish either salad and probably took 4 bites max between the two of us. My husband's entree included a total of THREE (3) sea scallops and the sauce on the ratatouille tasted like Kroger-brand Ragu. It had zero flavor, and I would actually put money on the table betting it came from a jar. The dessert chocolate cake was over-mixed, flavorless, and too dense to actually eat more than a bite. No drinks were included despite an advertisement that bubbly would be included. For $77/plate this was the worst experience we ever had dining out in Macon. To make the night worse, it was not advertised anywhere that there was a 24% holiday gratuity tax. This was deceptive pricing/hidden fees at its finest. The manager promptly removed the charge when my husband pointed out the hidden fee, which is considered a crime in California. Loom was a horrible experience. I can say with 100% positivity I will never dine here again. $220 later, and we left hungry.

The service was the worst part of the experience. The waiter always placed something on the table and left without asking what we wanted and before we could ask for something. This lack of service persisted through the meal, and finally I had to resort to asking other staff members for simple requests. We were there to celebrate New Year’s Eve, so this experience ruined this occasion, and we would’ve had a much better experience in the drive-through of McDonald’s! Avoid this establishment!

Terrible customer service. It took 30 mins for us to be even recognized by the waiter once we sat down.

Robert, We're truly sorry to her about your experience and deeply regret that our service fell short. This is not the standard we strive for, and we are addressing this with our team to ensure it doesn't happen again. We appreciate your feedback. We hope we have the chance to serve you again.

Our server seemed to be rather over extended and absent minded. I received the wrong salad when they were delivered and it did not seem to be a priority to check on us to see if everything was right. The toast we received with the appetizer was burnt. Then on the main dishes the prime rib had so much fat that there was barely any meat to eat. Finally the cauliflower was burnt and barely eatable. The atmosphere was ok and very festive. I understand that it was a Christmas Day special event, but the description was a James Beard nominated chef, but while we were there we could think of a couple of other places where the food outshines what we were served. The Chocolate martini my wife ordered did not taste like it had the right ingredients.

Second time I’ve been there. This experience was the worst ever! My wife and I sat patiently for almost 20 mins before we even saw a/the server. Apparently she was the only one working per our conversation. When she did finally appear, she went to a table that was seated after us. At that point I got up and spoke with the hostess who was chatting up the bartender. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant. I told them how long we’d been waiting, only for the server to come out and wait on someone who arrived after we had been sat, and how so far the experience had been very unpleasant. They apologized, and the hostess came over and said she could take our order, which she did. I ordered a glass of wine and my wife ordered a glass of juice. The hostess brought my wine, but no juice. After waiting 5 minutes (the bar was completely clear), I got up and asked the bartender if the hostess ordered the juice or if they just forgot it. He said they had to go get a bottle from downstairs. 2 minutes later I watched him walk around the corner and come back with it. I hate a liar!! He brought the juice to the table and apologized. The appetizer came out and we spoke with the server for the first time. She apologized and told us it had been really busy and she was the only one working. Keep in mind, until we asked about the server we never even saw her and the restaurant only had a few people in it. Afterwards she stayed at the server station for the rest of the time we were there. The only thing she did was deliver food and drink. The hostess was bussing tables. The bartender was twirling coasters he was so busy. The food was cold and over salted. I’ll never step foot back inside the place. Worst service ever for a restaurant that’s supposed to be on the higher end. The price was, but the service was absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time or money going here.
