Our server seemed to be rather over extended and absent minded. I received the wrong salad when they were delivered and it did not seem to be a priority to check on us to see if everything was right. The toast we received with the appetizer was burnt. Then on the main dishes the prime rib had so much fat that there was barely any meat to eat. Finally the cauliflower was burnt and barely eatable. The atmosphere was ok and very festive. I understand that it was a Christmas Day special event, but the description was a James Beard nominated chef, but while we were there we could think of a couple of other places where the food outshines what we were served. The Chocolate martini my wife ordered did not taste like it had the right ingredients.

Second time I’ve been there. This experience was the worst ever! My wife and I sat patiently for almost 20 mins before we even saw a/the server. Apparently she was the only one working per our conversation. When she did finally appear, she went to a table that was seated after us. At that point I got up and spoke with the hostess who was chatting up the bartender. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant. I told them how long we’d been waiting, only for the server to come out and wait on someone who arrived after we had been sat, and how so far the experience had been very unpleasant. They apologized, and the hostess came over and said she could take our order, which she did. I ordered a glass of wine and my wife ordered a glass of juice. The hostess brought my wine, but no juice. After waiting 5 minutes (the bar was completely clear), I got up and asked the bartender if the hostess ordered the juice or if they just forgot it. He said they had to go get a bottle from downstairs. 2 minutes later I watched him walk around the corner and come back with it. I hate a liar!! He brought the juice to the table and apologized. The appetizer came out and we spoke with the server for the first time. She apologized and told us it had been really busy and she was the only one working. Keep in mind, until we asked about the server we never even saw her and the restaurant only had a few people in it. Afterwards she stayed at the server station for the rest of the time we were there. The only thing she did was deliver food and drink. The hostess was bussing tables. The bartender was twirling coasters he was so busy. The food was cold and over salted. I’ll never step foot back inside the place. Worst service ever for a restaurant that’s supposed to be on the higher end. The price was, but the service was absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time or money going here.

Could not figure out why a pet dog was allowed to sit on a seat, right at table level. This was NOT a service dog.

The advertising is excellent. The food was good. The service and management was poor There appeared to be enough staff however completely incohesive. Our waitress new and obviously totally lost seemed to not be noticed by hostess or manager busy folding napkins or wiping outside tables. ? It's 40 degrees. Your customer are in front of you inside. Finally 4 tables took makers in our own hands and stood up. I told the hostess the waitress was drowning. She appeared to be surprised! The restaurant is in management chaos and needs help or you soon won't have return customers. We never got a bill...just left cadht

Very limited extremely expensive Menu. Four in our party. Ordered 3 appetizers and one entree. Appetizers were very sparse. Crab cake appetizer was a single, very small crab cake. Shrimp appetizer was ok. Burger and fries was good. Prices were outrageous for the quality and amount of food. Will definitely never go back nor recommend restaurant.

Food and drink came out on a timely basis by friendly, competent staff. The food was absolutely fantastic. Definitely the best food I’ve had since living in Macon. Will definitely be back!

Cannot recommend this place. Heard nice things about it... we were excited to try it, went there for my wife's birthday and it was bad from the time we stepped out of the car and the valet told us it would be $30 to park or we could just drive down the street and park ourselves. Website specifically mentions valet as if they prefer that. We tried. Menu prices are possibly the highest in Macon and the atmosphere and service was more like Applebee's. Very loud noises from the bar... staff camped out there. One of them was singing loudly multiple times to an obnoxiously loud patron and no management was in sight at any point to try to restore any sort of atmosphere to the place. Just loud and irreverent. Almost chaotic. Our server was very nice but obviously had never been trained nor had any experience serving in a place that charges what Loom is charging. It seems that Loom aspires to be a top tier restaurant but simply charging high prices for everything doesn't make that reality. No specials. We tried the shrimp app and it was ok but the grease was overdue for a change and that, combined with the loud, raucous staff, clueless valet and no other patrons dining in the place made it seem like we were about to be massively disappointed if we ordered dinner. We there a total of 45 mins and hadn't placed an entree order yet. Had to wave down the server so we could pay and we left half-way through the meal. Walked down the street to Dovetail and had an amazing dinner and perfect service in a very comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Polar opposite to our experience at Loom and my wife's birthday dinner was saved. If you are looking at this place, I would instead recommend Downtown Grill, Dovetail, Oliver's or Tokyo Alley far sooner than Loom.
