Louie’s is a fantastic restaurant, whether for brunch or dinner. The service is always superb and the food, out of this world. They have an outstanding menu and it’s always hard to decide what to eat. So, my wife and I have to keep returning so we can sample everything on the menu. You can’t go wrong with Louie’s no matter the occasion. I haven’t even mentioned the bay view. There are too many good things when you visit the restaurant. You’ll have to make a reservation and experience it for yourself.

The first time we came here years ago, we were not impressed. The food was completely lacking in flavor and salt. But, we decided to give it a second chance and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and our server was very attentive, pleasant and helpful. It was a bit too loud but that was because the restaurant was quite busy.

“The food was extremely mediocre. We ordered the wedge and Caesar salad, but neither was fresh. The greens tasted old, as if they had been sitting in dressing for hours. The filet was disappointing, and the potatoes and sandwiches were equally underwhelming. Overall, everything was bad—not just in appearance but also in taste. Essentially, it felt like an overpriced diner.”

The host this girl was kind of rude, but other than her should everybody else was good. Especially our waiter. He was the best.

I called 2 weeks ahead to see if they would have vegan options. I was assured that they would but when we arrive for Valentine’s Day, there was no vegan options whatsoever. The chef did accommodate us and make us a vegan option. That was very basic and the zucchini was very cold. If not frozen on the inside, I was very disappointed.
