First time and I loved everything thing about it. Great music and excellent food. There were a lot of people there and a portion of my food took a long time to come but outside of that everything else was perfect.

Appetizers and drinks were amazing, main entree’s are just OK. Our server was not as attentive and after one round of drink and appetizers he was already giving us our check without asking if we were ready to order entree’s 😆😬 but otherwise it was an OK experience

Great time, amazing music, I just believe the sides are a little over priced for what you get, but the Mac and Cheese is amazing.

Love the vibe. Food was good. Felt forgotten at our table. Had to get up and ask a random server for silverware. Our server can back too late for us to have a second round of drinks as we needed to get to a show.

I recently dined at Louisiana Purchase to celebrate a special occasion, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. While the ambiance is cool and the music was hit and hopping, the food and service left much to be desired. The food was largely underwhelming. Most dishes were overly salty, lacking the depth and balance of flavor you’d expect from Southern cuisine. The grilled oysters were the only highlight—flavorful and well-prepared—but beyond that, there wasn’t much to enjoy. The Brussels sprouts, for example, should be avoided—they’re drenched in a syrup that overwhelms their natural flavors. The cheddar biscuits, on the other hand, were decent, but even those didn’t stand out enough to redeem the meal. For the high prices, I expected much better. The service was particularly disappointing and didn’t meet the warm, attentive standards you’d associate with Southern hospitality. We had to repeatedly ask for basics like menus, plates, and drinks, which arrived painfully slow. On top of that, we were celebrating a birthday, but there was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion special. When we asked about dessert, the staff gave us strange looks, making the experience feel awkward and unwelcoming. I’ll admit I’m baffled by the five-star reviews for this place. It’s hard to believe those reviewers have ever experienced authentic Louisiana cuisine, as this fell far short of those standards. Overall, while the vibe and music at Louisiana Purchase might be appealing, the salty food, syrupy Brussels sprouts, lackluster service, and pricey menu make it a place I wouldn’t return to—especially for a special occasion.

Gumbo did not have a flavor of New Orleans. Catfish, dirty rice and collard greens were salty. Drinks were good. Service excellent. I do not plan to return.

The best food and service we’ve had in a restaurant in a long time! Every dish was outstanding, and I highly recommend trying the Alligator Cheesecake—absolutely unique and delicious. Everything we ordered was a 10 out of 10. Kudos to the chef and the entire team for such an exceptional experience!
