Great food and wine selection, lovely ambience and lovely philosophy of no tips and paying a working wage to their employees! I was a bit let down that I wasn't seating according to my preference of by a window or outside. I booked 2 days in advance so I figured it wouldn't be an issue, but when I inquired, I was told you could specify on the booking, which I did. Not a huge deal but still, don't ask for special requests and then ignore. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Calistoga.

                                                                        We had a large group of seven people in a private room. The food was excellent and portions were reasonably sized. We especially enjoyed the polenta bites and the halibut croquettes. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees - mushroom risotto, halibut, and bolognese pasta. Their gluten free bucatini was very good too. Nice cozy ambiance. We will definitely come back!

Celebrated my birthday here and I felt extra special when I was presented with a signed card from some of the staff and a ceramic bottle stopper made by the owner. I had the impossible sausage lasagna and hubs had the halibut with gnocchi. Both were delicious! We shared the sundae funday for dessert. We'll be back when we visit Calistoga again!
