A locals favorite in historic craftsman home, with lovely heated/ shaded patios. Lovina is uniquely tip-free; our pricing includes a living wage, 401k with employer match, two weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, and health/ dental insurance benefits for all our hard-working employees! Recognized as "Best of the Best" on Trip Adviser for Vegan/ Gluten-Free options, Lovina also satisfies omnivores with locally famous Bolognese and wild Halibut. Our menu is seasonal and locally sourced. Woman-owned by Calistoga local Jennifer Bennett (previous owner of Zazie restaurant in SF), Lovina is unique & welcoming. We feature Jen's handmade pottery, thrown, glazed, and at her home studio here in Calistoga.

    Our heated, covered East Patio is perfect for up to 30 guests, and the newly remodeled West patio seats up to 40, with room for a bar and cocktail hour. We also have two private rooms inside for smaller groups of 6-8.

                                                                          Everything about this restaurant is top notch: welcoming manager, attentive and friendly servers and Incredible food. All in a house that reminded me of my own when growing up. Appetizers were great. Our dinners were also delicious. Special note that the wagyu beef cheeks were “out of this world” - as my Dad used to say. The servers are worthy of mentioning again - attentive, polite, and professional. This restaurant is a rare gem. Don’t overlook it if you’re in, or near, Calistoga.

                                                                          Excellent food and a service. Love their philosophy of no tips and just making sure is priced sufficiently to pay the staff a fair share. I will definitely return when I am back in Calistoga

                                                                          Food is usually fresh and tasty. The issue we have is with the service, which has always been just okay. The tips are built into the menu price, so it seems the wait staff do not feel the need to hustle. My wife had coffee with our brunch today, and when she asked for more coffee she sensed that the waitress stiffened up, indicating a reluctance. Its not easy to get help once the food arrives, and it seems that additional service beyond that is not in the cards. We drive 45 minutes to get to Calistoga and Lovina does not make it worth the trip. We'll probably not go back, or wait a few years before trying it again.
