Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca is heartwarming and satisfying from the wood-fired pizzas to the hand-rolled pastas to the perfectly seared proteins. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.

Wine and whiskey will be flowing at this fun and fiery fusion feast.     Service was impeccable as always. Enjoy how effortlessly the staff works together for a wonderful guest experience. The mussels and eggplant starter were wonderful and my other friend could not say enough about the Brussels Caesar salad. The primi, four out of five of us ordered the gnochetti, which was perfectly executed, and tasted light and refreshing. For the secondi, the branzino skin could have been crispier but the fish was cooked properly, those who preferred the chicken parm were quite happy with their selection and finally the short rib. It was seasoned aggressively but enjoyed by my friend who enjoys his food seasoned more than some. The farewell with the chocolate hazelnut ‘bite’ was served at the perfect temp and the texture was wonderful.

    Went for restaurant week. Great quality food. I will say the risotto was off. The pastas were all great. Pistachio gelato was not good. Ice cream texture and not good flavor. Would go back. I strongly support the 22% for staff.

    Had dinner here as part of Denver's restaurant week. Started with the Luca salad and the roasted eggplant. Both excellent. Second course was rigatoni bolognese and the gnocchetti. Again excellent. Third course went off the rails. Listed as burrata stuffed chicken parmesan there was no burrata stuffed in the chicken. It was just plain chicken parm. This was disappointing. When you don't deliver what the menu reads, especially for a restaurant of this reputation, you can't get five stars. The service was excellent and we did have half glass of Prosecco and a hazelnut mousse sample that was not part of the price fixe menu. All appreciated.

    Mussels-pasta-short rib for one of us, shaved Brussel sprouts-shrimp diavolo-risotto for the other. Best variety of choices for a three course menu we saw during Denver Restaurant Week, and all of it deliciously prepared. We’ll be back, and happily pay regular full prices.

    This was our first time dining at Luca and it was amazing. Since it was restaurant week there was a fixed price menu. The choices were all good. Portions were ample and the food delicious. Our server was attentive and very professional. We will return again soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Fantastic meal, but you pay for it for sure. Would go back in a heartbeat. Also, take your receipt next door to Salita for $10 classic cocktails. Really cool spiff.

    Service was great, but music was much too loud. I assume there is some study that tells restaurants and bars to ramp up the music to create "energy," but it stresses me when I have to struggle to converse with my eating partners over the music. It was a relief to get outside after the meal, and the noise definitely detracted from my overall experience.

    First time here. Went during Restaurant Week which gives you the chance to try several dishes. All were outstanding. Also appreciated the little extras like the prosecco toast to start and the hazelnut cream at the end. Our server, Miguel was excellent as well. We will definitely return!
