   Lucca South in Valentines Day was not a bed of roses. We waited for 15 minutes for our reserved table and then were seated next to a family with a baby. We ordered a salad as a first course and steaks for dinner. Instead of getting our salad, our main course showed up. We enjoyed our steak but the portion was very small. The waitress was mostly absent and we had to field a request for steak knives from another staff person after waiting for our server to come by. Our waitress seemed very harried and apologized for forgetting our salad and comped dessert but the damage was done. We came to Lucca from Plymouth based on reviews but we cannot recommend Lucca based on our experience.

   Great meal - well-paced despite some slow moments due to how busy they were. We had a lovely evening and the food was excellent

   I was very lucky to find a last minute dinner reservation on OpenTable for Valentine’s Day on a Friday night and I’m grateful that I took the only 5:45 pm slot after I saw 4.7 ⭐️ rating for Lucca restaurant. In general we loved everything about this place including service, wine and beer, food and atmosphere even though it was a very busy night and had to wait a little for everything it didn’t matter because it was worth it. We will be back

   Service was horrible. I understand it was a holiday evening (Valentine’s Day) but we had a 530 reservation, didn’t get drinks until 6 pm and didn’t have our food until almost 645. Our waiter never spoke to us unless we flagged him down and we multiple times had to ask someone else for him in order to order apps and entrees. He seemed overwhelmed and that there was not good organization of the sections for each remember of the staff.

   My husband and I with my mom and her boyfriend all went to dinner Friday to celebrate my mom's birthday and valentines. We started at the bar to grab drinks, there was only one bartender taking care of the bar so it took some time to order. Shortly after, we were sat at our table for dinner. One thing to note we weren't aware of a special menu, however we were able to overcome that pretty quickly. We started with arancini for the appetizer. Then we ordered our meals. I ordered the baked orchiette, my husband ordered the sirloin steak, my mom got the cavatappi and her boyfriend ordered linguine and meatballs. Between apps and dinner there was a bit of a lull but at this time the restaurant was filling up so it gave us time to digest the arancini and side of bread. After dinner we ordered a carrot cake for all to share. Our overall experience here was really great from the food to our server to other service staff. We would definitely come back it was a really tasty enjoyable night with family.

    Our server had an attitude and was not very attentive. After dinner and dessert, she brought the bill over. It was $187.00, should have only been $120, but she "accidentally" added a bottle of wine to the bill. So glad we caught it. The food was tasty and the atmosphere relaxing. Will return again to see if a better experience next time😊
