   We loved our evening at Lucia's so much and can't wait to return. The decor is really pretty and very unique. The way it is set out and the outdoor flames give it a real holiday vibe. Delicious food! And the staff were super attentive and professional, especially Emily.

   Whilst we understand that our reservation did not allow us to stay all evening, we were surprised to be asked to leave whilst still waiting for the dessert menu and the drinks we had ordered. The food was lovely, but service very slow and therefore we were very disappointed to be made to leave as we had not finished our meal.

    This is a nice restaurant and the food is lovely. However.... we ordered and ate our starter and main course, but when it came to a desert. We were told that, they would have to check how long we had left on the table, because their policy is that you are only allowed the table for 1.5 hours, whether you have finished eating in that time or not, after 1.5 hours they need the table back. They then extended our table time by 10 minutes, so we ordered a desert. But I was then told, that I couldn't have my desert, because another of Lucia's policy's is, if you have an allergy, they can't serve you a desert because they can't guarantee the deserts are 100% nut free. Surely this would also have applied for the main course to? My wife, managed to have a desert and I was allowed a coffee in the end, before we were given the bill and rushed off. When leaving Lucia, there was a table of 3 ladies, having exactly the same heated discussion, about having a desert as my wife and I had. Whilst I understand that we couldn't have sat there all night, we felt like in the end we had been rushed and the manor in which the manager spoke to us, was appalling. If the food hadn't been good, this review would definitely have only been 1 star, not 3.

    Hi Adam, Thank you for your review. Whilst we do have time allocations, we do try to extend times where possible. On this occasion we were able to extend your time an extra 15 minutes for some drinks or a dessert for your partner. It's important to note that I, myself, informed you of our nut allergy procedure upon seating you. Desserts are not served to guests with nut allergies due to most of them containing or may contain nuts. This policy was not questioned at the time, so it's a shame you felt the need to use it as an argument with my manager who was calmly explaining the situation. We would also appreciate it if you didn't get involved with another table's complaint as the context was different and in the process of being handled. Thank you for visiting our restaurant.
