Lucia York is an all-day restaurant and cocktail bar serving a modern Italian menu feat. homemade pasta, gelato, pizza, pesce & carne dishes seven days a week.

Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

    As always the food was amazing. Only constructive criticism is that the Panna Cotta has changed to strawberry Flavour on a Prosecco jelly base, the original version is much nicer. This doesn’t mean it was bad, it was just disappointing. However, overall the food was delicious.

    Had a lovely meal at Lucia’s. The food was outstanding, service was very attentive. Not our first visit and won’t be the last. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

    Such a beautiful setting and the service was impeccable. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

    First visit to York and wanted to book somewhere nice for the boyfriend’s birthday. So happy we booked here. Nice atmosphere, decor lovely, food great and staff very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

    The table was booked over a week in advance yet on arrival they were running late. We were offered a table outside as the table inside was not yet available and would be at least another fifteen minutes. Given we had a train to catch reluctantly accepted having been assured this would be warm due to the external heaters. I was baking under the heat of the lamp it was unbearable after a while yet my wifes feet remained cold. After about twenty minutes we placed our order. Our starter arrived and approaching the hour mark I had to approach the desk to inform them that if our main course did not arrive soon we would have to leave to catch a train. The main course arrived five minutes later. The food was nice but given the service issues we found ourselves bolting our food which was not an enjoyable experience. I paid by cash and they took the optional tip without asking if I wished to pay the optional service charge. Not the greatest experience in what was a full and noisy environment.

    Lovely experience except for the very loud volume of noise from one party. I would have expected the manager to ask the party to keep the volume down. We were a party of 5 and couldn’t hold a decent conversation between us.

    The food was delicious and the atmosphere was spot on. A little noise but that was because they where busy but nothing to bad. Staff were lovely and atentive but not invasive. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Overall the restaurant is a lovely environment and perfect for a meal out or even just drinks. The food is on the pricey side but it was delicious and we had no complaints regarding the taste of the food. Within 15 minutes of arriving at the restaurant our food was in front of us which made us question whether it was freshly cooked, we noticed this with other tables too.
