Lucia York is an all-day restaurant and cocktail bar serving a modern Italian menu feat. homemade pasta, gelato, pizza, pesce & carne dishes seven days a week.

Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

    Warm welcome and attentive waiter without being intrusive. Interesting food which was very delicious ; portions generous but well judged. We were able to relax and enjoy the food at our own pace without being rushed. Really enjoyed the wine too. Strongly recommend

    Lovely meal in a very nicely decorated restaurant with an external courtyard. Food of a high standard. Had the 2 course special. Would recommend

    The restaurant is beautiful food very nice the only thing that spoilt it for us after spending £200 we were then rushed to finish our drinks so that the table could be relaid Four times we were asked most disappointing

    We ordered breads and dipping oil which didn’t come in dipping bowls you had to pour oil onto your plate which wasn’t ideal. Wings to start, both were a bit over cooked and dry, the lemon ones were so strong we sent them back, my main of duck tortellini was almost cold and gloopy, husbands gnocchi was delicious. We didn’t receive the side order we’d asked for. We got a complimentary desert which was tasty. Don’t know if they were just too busy but there seemed to be a few meals going back to the kitchen. Disappointed as our previous visit had been perfect

    Very disappointed. Having previously eaten at Lucia on two separate occasions we were very disappointed with this recent visit. Despite having booked the table in July! We had to wait 20 minutes to get our table. It took 30 minutes to then get drinks and starters. And more than 2 hours in total for a two course meal!! We didn’t even bother with a coffee because everything was taking so long! Definitely put me off and unfortunately don’t think we’ll be back.

    Enjoyed our return visit to Lucia’s. Food was good though I would question whether the medallions of beef were in fact minute steaks (based on experience from other restaurants). Still very tasty! Only negative was when the drinks were served at the end they said they needed the table… Look forward to visiting again

    Poor service. Didn’t receive what we’d ordered. Asked for our pizza and pasta to be halved to share. Arrived not as we asked. Waiter just looked at us blankly and walked away when we questioned it. Side dish was missing. Also queried that. It then turned up after we’d finished the meal. Then we received somebody else’s bill. Staff really didn’t seem interested. Poor, disappointing experience.
