Asian small plate classics, Robata grills, sushi and sashimi are exquisitely crafted in the open kitchen and signature raw carve bar. Each dish is designed to be shared socially at the centre of the table and accompany signature drinks, music and conversation.

Lucky Cat is inspired by Tokyo’s 1930s kissas and Shanghai drinking dens. These nocturnal music clubs became the playground of the urban youth seeking all things extravagant, new and cutting edge: illegal jazz music, late night banned dancing, rare whiskeys and indulgent street food.

Lucky Cat Miami offers a "gorgeous" ambiance with a modern Asian feel. While some diners found the service lacking, others praised the "attentive and knowledgeable" staff. The "chef's table" experience, cocktails, and several dishes like the "Okinawa Margarita" and "Tamarind Cake" received high marks. Prices are on the higher side.

I absolutely love Gordon Ramsey and find him to be a huge personal inspiration. The ambiance and staff at lucky cat in Miami Beach is beyond impressive. However, the food was uninspired, without love.

Service was unacceptable It took more than 30 minutes for the edamame to arrive. We asked several times. Nearly empty restaurant The waiter apologized many times but the experience for the price was underwhelming and disappointing. I never leave negative reviews because it’s easy to make mistakes in restaurants but this was unacceptable.

Price for the sushi is high. I have had better for sure. Sushi came out 20 minutes after the steak. Martinis are tiny. Plates were never removed until the check came. An extra set up sat on the table during dinner.

We had come over to Miami from our home in Naples to visit with out-of-town friends & had suggested this restaurant only to later regret it. We have dined in restaurants all over the globe & coming from generations of restaurant owners, I got to say hands down this was the worst service I’ve experienced. Not to mention, we overheard other groups departing when we did also expressing frustration with the terrible service. A few examples: (1) We had empty cocktails for long periods of time = unhappy patrons & lost revenue. (2) One of our guests had their entree brought out 25min before the rest & when addressed with staff, they took entree back to kitchen only to bring same back out 30min after the rest of our group were served entrees. (3) Waiter took credit card for bill & did not reappear for some 20min. No one remembers the food, although good, only the bad service. Needless to say, none of us will be going back.

Hands down the WORST ever service I have received in a restaurant. The waiters could not care less about service, the visiting diners or their jobs. I am not sure if this is due to being understaffed or simply not giving two shakes about anything. We initially ordered four starters while waiting for two more people to join, which arrived fairly promptly and correct. After that it all went downhill. A waiter turned up with lamb dumplings, which we did not order. We told him that the order was wrong, and he looked almost annoyed at us for not ordering. Then another waiter dumped a plate on our table and disappeared before we could even ask what it was. It took us 5 minutes to flag down our waiter, who said it was the red snapper, which we hadn’t ordered but (and I quote) “if we wish, we could try it”. We refused it, as we just wanted what we ordered. The whole baby chicken finally arrived but no cutlery to actually eat it with, only chopsticks. We asked for one set of knife and fork, and got four forks instead. Again it took another 5 minutes for another waiter to surface to ask for a knife, which was eventually delivered to cut the chicken with. We received two portions of Jasmin rice, when we ordered one portion of egg fried rice. When telling the waiter, he said “no you ordered white rice”. Then he decided to say that the egg fried rice was still coming. It did eventually arrive but about 10 minutes after finishing all of our main dishes. One of our starters was still outstanding though, ironically. This turned up with the bill… we sent it back as we were done (not only with our meal but also the attitude of the waiters) and they still tried to charge us for it. Imagine! The compulsory service charge came to $150, which when questioned, the waiter said he could not remove at all. We said we were not willing to pay any service charge for the deplorable service received. He came back, flung the cheque on the table & said “I removed a bunch of stuff” & left!!

I had a great experience at Lucky Cat except for the moment towards the end of our visit where my husband had noticed everyone around us got a free glass of champagne for Valentine’s Day and my server not only didn’t offer it to us or apologize for not giving us a glass. A little bit disappointed in Alex for that, but other than that everything was great. The food was excellent we enjoyed the sushi, but the steak wasn’t worth the money for the small amount you recieved. I would go back again in the future, but we are just a bit offended that everyone received the complimentary glass of champagne for Valentine’s Day except us. They could check the cameras and see we never got any. We spent a lot of money last night so I’m not really sure why we weren’t offered any champagne.

Overpriced small bites. Service was underwhelming for the type of sophisticated restaurant I was expecting. Drinks were the highlight of the night. Overpriced as well.
