Luigi’s Al fresco was born as a Summer pop up restaurant in collaboration with Luigi’s Pizzeria in Heybridge, and it’s run by Emily & Enzo at The Limes Guesthouse in Maldon. After a very successful summer we are very excited to announce we’ll be here to stay as a permanent restaurant in Maldon
We specialise in authentic Italian food, providing quality products and warm service. The restaurant offers indoor sitting and an Al Fresco dining in a beautiful garden which has just recently been awarded from MALDON IN BLOOM as Best Florally Decorated”.

Very authentic feel to the restaurant. Service was pretty slow but food well worth the wait! Wish there was more vegetarian options but we did have the valentines special menu and there was no vegetarian starter option. I asked no meat on my pizza but came with meat on. Other than that beautiful tasting food!

Really enjoyed our evening. Food was delicious. Service was on point & we got upgraded into the little dome seating area. Look forward to coming back again soon! Thank you.

Disappointed We waited ages for our starter of focaccia bread but it was very nice once it arrived We had ordered our mains from the small menu a couple of us wanted the lasagna but they had run out apparently on a Friday night @ 8pm so 3 of us opted for carbonara which was dry and had a strange taste two of us ate it as we were hungry but my friend did not. They have glass pods in the garden so were constantly taking food outdoors and leaving the door open which may be fine in summer but not in December ! The toilet was located in one of the en-suite rooms in the Limes which was strange and the people from the pods were in & out to the toilet leaving the door open to the outside The last straw was when drips of condensation were dripping into my friends head from the roof ... would not recommend

It was a birthday treat for our granddaughter and as we had been to Luigi’s in Heybridge, we thought we’d take her to the pop-up venue. Everything was really good, and the only reason I gave 4* and not 5* for service is there could maybe have been one or two more waiting staff, as the restaurant was very busy (a good sign!). But I must say the service we had was very good and the food was exceptional.

Lovely place, we loved the pods, very warm and comfy. There were 3 small tables in our pod and one big table in the other pod - there's plenty if room and everyone seems to enjoy the pod atmosphere, so it's actually fun to share a pod. We had beautiful pizzas, delicious bottle of red with sweets and liquers. We can't find any faults and look forward to returning soon.

Had a really great time, it's such a nice restaurant that is out the way of maldon high street, you almost forget where you are. The pizza is amazing I would think it is how they are in Italy, rather than over here at Domino's! The restaurant isn't overly big and is nicely decorated staff are friendly

Service was good, but food was a little slow. But we didn’t mind because they gave us some olives whilst we waited and when the food arrive it was lovely!
