Luke is a Creole-inspired Brasserie located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District on world-famous St. Charles Avenue, steps from the French Quarter neighborhood. A lively atmosphere surrounds the raw bar offering the freshest seafood and oysters procured daily from the Gulf of Mexico. Chef Erick Loos is at the helm of the kitchen featuring dishes that highlight local purveyors and farmers’ market ingredients.     Build credit card fees into your business. This fee wasn’t listed anywhere. It’s a creative way to get more during inflationary times. Customers don’t like feeling taken advantage of especially in a high end restaurant. Lots of servers but hardly any attention. And trout almandine, but no almonds on the plate for those of us who had the dish. That’s odd. They forgot to add apparently. For a John Beche restaurant this all could be better.

    Very popular restaurant with lively bar. Service is great and food was too. Raw oysters very good Escargot with bone marrow delicious Luke burger excellent Shrimp and grits excellent

    The gumbo at lukes is sublime. Best ive had in nola. Delicious rich bade chock full if shrio crab n oysters. Yummy. Also gotta try the incredible burger. Its almost too large to finish. Add impeccable service. What else could you want in an impeccable restaurant

    Service was stellar, even with multiple large Christmas parties going on around us. Seated right away & was in & out timely. Food was delicious as were the drinks.

    The food and drinks were delicious. Started off with the Brussels Sprouts, crab claws, pork belly and focaccia bread. All were well seasoned and amazing. Our entrees, desserts and cocktails were also wonderful and we left very satisfied with service and food.

    I’ve submitted several reviews, as I eat here a good bit. It’s silly excellent, still my favorite. There’s a wide variety of Gulf oysters from which to choose. The seafood gumbo is my favorite in the city, really rich & full of protein. I had the Speckled Trout Amandine, which I had not tried before, & it was quite good. In short, it’s always a great meal at Luke, & I’ll keep coming back until they give me a reason not to.

    Got to table in time to take advantage of Happy Hour pricing on cocktails which were good. I had Shrimp and Grits, hubby ordered herb roasted chicken and we shared the roasted Brussels sprouts. Food was really good. But never brought bread to the table and felt we were being rushed out the entire meal. At one point the server started clearing away my plate and I had to ask her to leave my fork at least since I was still working on the sprouts. Then when she was refilling the water she sloshed it all over the table. The bill was brought out as a print out receipt only…no billfold. These smaller touches are what ruin an elevated dining experience.

    Food was exceptionally delicious. Although we had requested to not be put at a tiny table we ended up with a tiny table. Loved the Brussels Sprouts and the Pork Belly appetizers . Our waiter was friendly and very accommodating. Luke almost checked all the boxes if we could have just had a larger table.
