We had a very enjoyable meal. We were a group of 9, that were due to the theatre for a pantomime, so were in high spirits, even for 5:30 in the afternoon!!! Some of the group did arrive a little late, but the staff were very attentive. We were located close to the kitchen and bar, so the traffic of staff was busy. Nonetheless, they took good care of us. Everyone enjoyed their food, although my chicken main course was a little bland for my liking. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this restaurant for a group booking.

great location right next to to theatres food is great and piping hot as with all places prices continue to rise but overall good value

I can confirm the other views, basically the food is bland, the service is neglectful and the value and ambience is not great. We were seeing show at the Adelphi Theatre, which is right next door. I am sure that is why it gets business. I would say it is 95% one off customers. I can't imagine why you would go back to this place. My advice, go up one block towards Covent Garden and you will find lots of restaurants. Being beside the Adelphi is not a good enough reason to go to this restaurant.

I recently had a frustrating experience at L’ulivo. Despite booking a table in advance, I arrived to find the restaurant closed. This was incredibly disappointing, especially since I had planned my evening around this reservation. To make matters worse, I was unable to cancel the booking through their system, which added to my frustration. With limited time to find another dining option, I struggled to secure a table elsewhere, leaving me without a place to eat. Overall, my experience was quite negative due to poor communication and accessibility. I would recommend that the restaurant improve their reservation management and ensure they notify customers promptly in case of unexpected closures. Until then, I can’t recommend dining here.

This was our second visit. Food, wine and surroundings lived up to our expectations and the price tag. Astonishingly the menus and wine lists were crumpled and illegible in parts; it concerns us that if this simple detail is overlooked what else is being neglected? We won't hurry back.

The mushroom risotto was delicious. Great place to get dinner before a show. The wait to get the bill was longer than I expected but I just had to get the attention of the wait staff. Highly recommend

I absolutely love Italian food and this restaurant did not disappoint. The service was friendly and helpful in recommending new dishes to try. The decor of the restaurant it pretty too! Cocktails were tasty!

First of all my group of friends enjoyed our lunch on a round table, which we prefer. However, the chicken did need more seasoning. Both my friend and I had to add salt to give it extra flavour. Also the door was kept open a lot of the time and caused a draught. The staff were very friendly, although we couldn't understand one waitress who was trying to explain what the dessert of the day was. Not as good as we've experienced in the past unfortunately. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend, although not on this particular experience.

I never review restaurants, especially a bad review, but the food was so bland. It was the worst Bruschetta I’ve ever had. My pasta dish was bland. They are close to the theater so I guess they get business from that but we’re in the food business and there is no excuse for such bad food.
