Conceived with legendary chef and food activist Alice Waters and led by acclaimed chef, writer, and cookbook author David Tanis, Lulu is a shared celebration of good food that is good for the planet. Lulu is a restaurant committed to prioritizing sustainability through local, regenerative food and design. Our mission focuses on procuring food directly from small, nearby farms practicing regenerative organic agriculture, which results in wholesome, delicious food grown using methods that combat the climate crisis.

Our restaurant is named after a wise Provencal cook, Lulu Peyraud, whose cooking and hospitality at Domaine Tempier in Bandol, France has always inspired David and Alice.

Oysters with yuzu mignonette 2023 California Rosé Beets with orange, walnuts and arugula 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, Ascona Vineyard, Santa Cruz Mountains Vermillion rockfish en papillote 2022 Chardonnay, Trout Gulch, Santa Cruz Mountains Duck with caramelized radicchio and pommes dauphine 2023 Heaven Pinot Noir Fromage blanc ice cream with berries 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County, Clajeux Vineyard About Arnot-Roberts The focus of Arnot-Roberts is to produce distinctive, site-driven wines that highlight the nature of the unique terroirs in which the grapes are grown. Single-vineyard wines are the core of the production as well as a few appellation bottlings that clearly speak of their individual upbringings. Some of the vineyards are old and dry-farmed, some are newer plantings but all are farmed and cared for by passionate and conscientious growers, which is paramount to the fundamental goal of Arnot-Roberts: producing the most honest and expressive wines possible.

Join us for a special dinner with Alice Waters and filmmaker Lisa Hurwitz. After dinner, head across the courtyard to the Billy Wilder Theater for the free screening of the film at 7:30 pm. Please see our important notes below. MENU PREVIEW Amuse: Small bites of crostini’s inspired by The Automat menu Cabbage soup with market vegetables Salisbury steak with peas, carrots and fried onions Cinnamon bun IMPORTANT NOTES: - Please be sure to reserve your table before 6 pm, in order to attend the free screening at 7 pm - Admission is assigned on a first come, first served basis; please pick up your ticket at the box office, which opens one hour before the event - Our special prix-fixe menu will be served for the entire evening; menu items may change based on the availability of our farmers

My meals at Lulu are consistently delightful—the ingredients are pristine, salads are always showstoppers, and the service is warm and attentive. My favorite restaurant in LA by far.

Always a lovely meal in a unique outdoor setting. Very professional and friendly staff. And we were treated to glasses of champagne for the birthday we were celebrating.

We love this space and vibe. The menu is tantalizing! So many delicious sounding options. Sadly the quality of the food falls short, dishes were either very over seasoned (salty) or under seasoned (bland). All in all, dishes were pretty but unmemorable.

Fantastic fresh flavorful food, excellent service, spacious restaurant in a beautiful indoor courtyard. Spacious super easy for mobility challenges and Friday evening was still quiet enough for conversation. We left empty plates and were comfortably full. We had feta and crusty Clarks Bakery bread to start along with a fab salad of citrus crab and crunchy veg. Sea bass full of texture and melded with potato broth and charred vegetables. Scallops worked well with light tamarind curry broth. Almond cake was marvelous. Definitely going back.
