Lumen Detroit at Beacon Park offers a unique dining experience in the heart of the city, blending modern architecture with a vibrant park setting. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and one of Detroit's largest outdoor patios, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor ambiance. Guests can enjoy seasonally inspired Modern American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an extensive bar selection, whether on the rooftop or by the cozy outdoor firepits. With its lively atmosphere and picturesque views of Beacon Park, Lumen is the perfect spot for any occasion.

We offer valet parking for $15 Wednesday-Sunday. There is also metered street parking available on a limited basis. Please note that reservations will be held for 15 minutes, after which they are subject to cancelation. We allot 2 hours per table for dining, after which we may ask for your table. Due to the possibility of inclement weather our patio tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Our heated, full-service Private Chalets are currently available for reservations and can accommodate groups of up to 10. Please note that all Private Chalet reservations are subject to a $35 per person food and beverage minimum (tax & gratuity not included) which is due at the time of booking. This $35 per person charge will be deducted from the bill the night of your reservation. All Private Chalet reservations are allotted 2 hours for dining, after which we may ask for the table. Because of limited availability and high demand, your 2-hour time begins at the time of your reservation. A 20% gratuity may be added to ALL Chalet reservations. Chalet Reservations are refundable up to 48 hours in advance, after which all sales are final.

My favorite place! Everyone is always nice but I love Dominique and Nick at the bar the most. Hospitality is amazing, along with food and drinks. My go-to restaurant!

We had a wonderful waitress and the ambiance is always top notch and their team is wonderful! The food this time did disappoint and we had to send our plates back ! I was informed that they had a new cook! In my opinion he needs more supervision! I had the Chicken Milanese and it was fried too hard, no flavor and dry! I gave my left overs to my dog!

Temperature in outside Chalets were cold. It was 58 degrees outside and it was still very cold in chalets. I will not be returning. Food was just ok. Server was nice but I believe they are using the outdoor chalets to get people to come to restaurant. If it cold out do not reserve the chalets. Eat inside!

First tome to Lumen…great experience! The meatballs, crab cakes,walleye and chicken milanese were all excellent! The wine was so good we drank 3 bottles! We will definitely be back!

Loved Lumen! I’ve been past this place and even participated in events in the space right adjacent to the restaurant, but had never been here. The architecture of the ceilings and windows with the reflections, etc makes you feel like you are on the water at night. The green curry mussels were bright and perfectly seasoned! I savored every bit of the curry sauce and asked our server if they sold it by the bottle!!! We also had the walleye, pork belly and a side of perfectly charred asparagus. Dominique was attentive and personable… Will def go back to try the lamb chops and other interesting things we saw on the menu!

This was my first time visiting. I’ll start with first impressions. Upon walking in my family and I were greeted with a warm hello from the hostess. However, it was the other two staff members who made me second-guess if I made a good choice. It was a male; I assumed was the manager. He wasn’t friendly nor was my waitress (initially) They both had a stoic, cold, demeanor. I did not feel welcomed (besides hostess as mentioned above) keep in mind we arrived at 3 which is when they open with reservations so it wasn’t busy we were the first ones there. I found out the lady whom I mentioned above was my waitress. She smiled when she introduced herself at the table, but not when I saw her in passing? Again, just a simple smile gesture goes a long way. The food was delicious! I ordered salmon, pretzel sticks, two kids meal and the waitress suggested a wine that I sampled and enjoyed as well( I purchased a glass). I will be back as the food was enjoyable. For management; a smile and simple greeting such as hello would suffice

For our 25th anniversary, we reserved an outdoor lighted "igloo". The temperature was not very consistent inside; it ran hot and cold like a menopausal hot flash BUT despite that, it was still very comfortable. We had an amazing time; we weren't rushed by the server, she let us take our sweet old time, and the food was excellent. It was a very memorable anniversary.
