   Everything was so wonderful…there was a party at the next table that made a lot of noise; mostly laughing. One woman needed to use her indoor voice and we had trouble hearing each other, but the food, drink, ambiance and holiday cheer was in the air, so it was all good!

   Excellent first experience at Luminosa. David was attentive and knew the menu inside and out. Only hiccup--and we didn't really care that much--was that the first course came out well before our first round of drinks arrived. But those bone marrow tots were piping hot and delicious, and we'd rather have tots hot and ready than lingering on the line... Lemon pizza second course was quite good--plenty for 4 to share. Entrees were really well prepared: the half chicken was as good as advertised by David, the coppa steaks were **outstanding**, and the skirt was perfectly cooked. We also had gnocchi, fusilli, polenta, kohlrabi and spinach--all plentiful to share and well executed. Everything was hot when it hit the table, which is vital for a great meal. The staff was on point, and there was good support on service. Desserts have to be next level to really stand out during a great meal, but the honeycomb concoction with the semi-freddo was inventive and delicious. This particular meal was one of just a handful I can recall here in Asheville where the $130/person/all-in was *really* worth it. But it was, and we'll be back.

   Jamie was a fabulous server! He provided lots of suggestions and made the meal fun for both of us. We also loved the speakeasy that we were offered to visit while we waited for our table, a very nice touch! Great food great service, we’d definitely recommend for anyone visiting Asheville

   My table ordered many plates and we shared everything. The bok choy was beyond a doubt the best thing we had all night. I would go back and just eat two orders of that. Do not let that slip off of your menu, Luminosa. It was the most balanced and complete dish, and utterly surprising. The honeycomb semifreddo was the next favorite, and for the same reasons as the bok choy. Following that was the lemon pizza which I will be coming to get again. The caramelle was ok, but it felt incomplete, like it was missing something. The bread service was good, but a bit expensive for what we got (the focaccia was outstanding, as was the compound butter, but garlic knots are for pizzerias, and nobody wants grassinni when it's next to fresh baked bread as good as that focaccia. We all would have preferred a larger serving of focaccia and skip the rest). The polenta and tater tots were well executed. Looking forward to trying more of this menu.

   This was the best restaurant dining experience I've had in months, and I am a foodie. Luminosa is a must! The bread, the rigatoni, the lemon pizza, and don't skip the tiramisu. Our waiter was excellent, attentive and funny, with excellent recommendations. I'm sorry I don't remember his name.

   Our first visit was on a busy Tuesday night, had to wait about 20 minutes past Rez time but was fine at the bar. The rigatoni & agnoletti dishes were excellent as was the service by Francisco. D’mitri was kind to treat us to a special plate also! The menu is a bit challenging but Francisco helped us & the food is truly excellent! We’ll add Luminosa to our top 5 in Asheville & eagerly will return. A great fine dining experience!

   Wonderful place with fabulous food, sercice, and ambiance. We had to wait an hour after our reservation but they offered free prosecco and bread service while we waited. Good vegetarian options too.

   Food was outstanding, best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Ordered pre-dinner drinks and they took until after the first course to arrive. Server was nice, but oblivious to the delays. Ordered after dinner drink and he had to be reminded to bring my husband’s glass of wine. Not sure what was going on but expected more attentive service for such a good restaurant. I hope this was just a one-off experience
