   We’ve been looking forward to dining here for a while, choosing a Saturday night we thought it would be packed but didn’t seem overly busy and quite a few tables empty. We had a great meet & greet taking coats from us and a warm welcome. Shown to our table somewhat stuck in the way where staff constantly used it to pass to other tables, made us feel a bit uncomfortable. We were given ample time to choose a drink and this did arrive prompt, one of us driving on a soft drink and me on a bottle of champagne. Served in nice cut glass it looked amazing the bottle is then taken away and put in a large bucket on bar, this is great if staff keep topping up but from ordering a pudding my glass was empty to the point when I had finished the pudding I had to go up find staff to pour another for me. We ended up taking over half the bottle home. I was looking forward to drinking it there at £85 had I known this I would have bought 2 glasses instead. On the good bits the food looks amazing on Wedgwood from presentation and crockery picked for that dish. I had the beetroot cured salmon with fennel salad - amazing taste looked really well designed and quite a generous portion added with a side of sourdough and creamed butter was amazing. Main was equally as good for me cod with lentils, great size in a plain white bowl tasty well cooked flaky cod with a mild curry sauce in lentils. I had a side of cauliflower cheese comes in a cast iron dish very hot with an amazing tasty string cheese on top . Served hot and tasty. My wife had the 7oz fillet with chips , now she is super fussy and has everying plain and well done, chef got the message and did it perfectly no seasonings on anything and no sauces spot on with no garnishes the only thing she could fault was a few of the amazing large chips were not very hot in the middle but they were amazingly fluffy. We shared a platter of cheese that was served quickly, looked amazing on a longer plate, came with a good amount of biscuits also.

   As always this was a fantastic experience. The lunchtime menu is tremendous value, the food flawless and that staff exceptional. Thank you

   We had the 2 course lunch, it was beautiful food. The staff were very efficient.

   Went for a birthday treat and it was lovely as expected. The starters were delicous and the Sunday roast was lovely. Pudding was a bit disappointing as the options were all chocolate, cheescake,caramel, date pudding - nothing light and fruity to cleanse the palate. Caramel tart was over salted. Bit otherwise lovely. I would only pay those prices for a special occasion.

   The food was wonderful but the service was not great. Hopefully this is not the normal standard of service (for whatever reason) as the food and venue are great. We will try again.

    We chose Lunar as the must go to place to celebrate our anniversary of meeting 26 years ago on 27th February 1999 and as a treat as it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary on 1st January. From start to finish the experience was amazing. There was attention to detail from the minute we arrived up to when we left. Upon arrival there was a card on the table wishing us a happy anniversary from the team and we were given a tour from the very enthusiastic and knowledgable Lee. The food was flavoursome and well presented and all locally sourced. Lee noted that I do not drink alcohol but enjoy a 0% alcohol beverage and brought me a taster of the 0% alcohol wine to taste as a recommendation of an alternative to the usual choices available at other establishments. I am sure that you have the 3rd rosette "in the bag" with this superb level of excellent service, the quality food and experience given
