Great restaurant! Good food good service good vibes. They even have Sad they’re closing. They even have parking! And as a GF eater, it’s hard to find places to take as much care for those options like Lustig does.

The food and service were both excellent. I’m sorry that this will be the restaurants last week in business. I hope the chef will have the opportunity to open something else.

Lustig has been a cherished dining spot for the past year, quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. It’s bittersweet to write this review knowing the restaurant is closing soon. While my most recent visit revealed signs of a dramatic decline, Chef Bernard’s remarkable talent and passion deserve immense praise for making Lustig such a standout during its time. Service Service, which has been one of Lustig’s strengths, fell short this time. Several issues, including being served a flat beer, waiting 30 minutes for a bottle of wine (which I ultimately had to cancel), and sides not arriving with the main course, marred the evening. Additionally, the cutlery mug at our table was empty, and we had to request forks. Though the staff offered two glasses of dessert wine as an apology, these gestures couldn’t fully make up for the missteps. Food and Drinks Chef Bernard’s culinary expertise has been the heart of Lustig, and while some dishes still reflected his talent, others fell below expectations: •Highlights: The butternut squash soup and fritters were as exceptional as ever, reminding me of Lustig’s brilliance. •Shortfalls: The schnitzel was bland and lacked the seasoning it usually excels in, and the jaeger sauce was uncharacteristically flat. My favorite dessert was unavailable, and the kaiserschmarrn—a signature dish—was sadly burnt and flat, missing its usual fluffiness and charm. Final Thoughts Though Lustig’s time as a dining destination was brief, it made an indelible mark thanks to Chef Bernard’s creativity and dedication. It’s heartbreaking to see it close, but I’ll always remember the exceptional meals and experiences it provided. Thank you, Chef Bernard, for your incredible efforts—you and your team created something truly special. Rating: 3/5

It was fine, nothing to remember. $40 cutlets should be better and spaetzle was really dry and flavorless. The only thing that I really liked was the sausage and 30% off wine.

Very good food, very good service, very clean and attractive restaurant. The wienerschnitzel and sausages are delicious and exquisitely presented. Bernhard Mairinger, the owner chef, presents his dishes with delicate refined detail and they're always satisfying and delicious.

The interior of Lustig is gorgeous, wood beams and frames, concrete walls, lighting. Cocktails interesting and consistent with cuisine. I had the spicy pear martini, delicious. Schnitzel and sides, spaetzle, red cabbage and sauerkraut, were beyond expectations. For desert, highly recommend the kaiserschmarren .
