Situated in a private wood-panelled dining room on the ground floor – once used as the former Bank Manager’s office – Lutyens Grill serves lunch and dinner. The old-school grill feel is enhanced by traditional trolley service – choose your steak and soak up the cosy atmosphere. On Fridays there will be a £100pp three-course set menu featuring unlimited 44-day-aged rare breed prime rib, carved tableside from the trolley. From 3 November, Lutyens Grill will open on Sundays with our unlimited prime rib set menu accompanied with all the roast dinner trimmings.
Please be advised bookings are for dinner guest only. Pets, other than registered guide dogs, are not permitted in any public area or restaurant at The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant until 8pm Monday-Saturday. We will try to accommodate pushchairs, but please be aware there may not be space at the table. Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead of or upon arrival.

Nice atmosphere , staff are nice and helpful but it felt as though they were rushing to take our food away a number of times, despite advising items we wished to keep on the table which was frustrating! Some of the vegetables were undercooked but was redeemed with an additional item! Overall good experience but not the best food on this occasion! An experience, but no need to return for thanks giving menu next year? Pumpkin pie and ice cream was great and oysters were nice! Lobster Mac and cheese wasn’t really great! Sorry but on this occasion the food was mediocre

Good, but very expensive for what we experienced. Its a must do, not likely to go twice

The RibEye steak was very poor, the meat quality was below expectations, worst steak I've ever eaten.

Our lunch was for my son’s 40th birthday we had a great time, our waitress was very accommodating and attentive. The portion sizes for the beef were too large for 3 of us though which was a bit of a waste.

The restaurant and the food really was very good, but being from Yorkshire I have to comment on the portion sizes. They were huge! It was a fixed menu for the main course and unfortunately a lot of beef was left uneaten. It was a crying shame to see it get cleared away. But good food and good company made it a very enjoyable meal.

Lutyens Grill has great ambience. Away from the main buzz of The Ned it's an ideal place for a quiet intimate dinner. Food was well presented and cooked as requested. Wine selections are also great and on taste

Fantastic food and service - we ordered the porterhouse special and it was cooked to perfection. The oysters and steak tartare were a brilliant way to start. We will be back!

My husband and I ate here on 8/11/2024 It was very noisy when entering, so much so you couldn’t really hear what the singers were singing. The staff in Lutyens are very friendly and attentive at all times. We chose the £100 set menu which was lovely. I changed my starter because I didn’t like the ones on set menu and that wasn’t a problem. The steak was cooked exceptional. Melts in the mouth. When it came to dessert we were so full we couldn’t eat it. 😊
