   The food was great, our waitress was fabulous (very accommodating, went above and beyond the call of duty, and funny!), but the hostess was rude. Send the hostess to hospitality training so that she can understand what that word means. Despite her rudeness, I would go back when I have an appointment at Mayo.

   Another enjoyable evening with the ‘If it grows together’ parings chef has created. All courses from Turkey were wonderful, but the Smoky tomato sauce on the second course… he better make that a staple on the everyday menu or he is missing out on easy money. Always a great experience.

   We decided to try M Brothers at Mayo, even though it's in a weird location, because we are fans of all Medure Brothers restaurants. Restaurant Medure is one of our favorite restaurants at the beaches and we were frequent guests at M Shack AB before it closed. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst fine dining experiences we've had in a long time. After we were seated, it was 10 minutes before our server, or anyone, came by. Our server rarely came to our table after that. We ordered a couple cocktails (which were OK) and we weren't in any hurry but she came so infrequently that at one point we asked her to please leave a pitcher of water so we could serve ourselves. After an appetizer of fish bites (which were pretty good) she took our utensils. While we were waiting for our utensils, the table next to us returned their entree because it had a long hair in it. Our main dish was delivered 15 minutes later and she hadn't come back and we still didn't have utensils. My main dish was a half rack of lamb and it was pretty good but nothing exceptional. My wife ordered the prime ribeye (rare) with twice baked potato. The steak was tough and full of gristle. The "twice baked potato" was half a potato with some toppings on top, not an actual twice baked potato. Worse yet, the potato was undercooked so it was still hard. My wife couldn't eat much of her entree, despite really trying. She rarely complains, but she was excited about the entree and was really disappointed. To their credit, we told them about the steak and potato and they sent it back to the chef. He agreed it wasn't to their level of quality and took it off our bill, but the poor service and bad entree made for an overall poor experience. We won't ever be back. It makes us appreciate our experiences at Restaurant Medure a little more.

   We were not 100% sure what to expect with the restaurant being located in the atrium of the Mayo Hospital Cannaday Bldg. Beautifully designed Lounge and Dining room areas are what we discovered, Live music ( Sax Player) and a real candle on the table. Great service, outstanding apps, dinner and dessert. We would highly recommend M Brothers at Mayo to anyone who is in search of a great dining experience.

    This remains our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville area. Service is always welcoming, accommodating and helpful. I have to add, they are so friendly and recognize us with each visit. The food is innovative, delicious and awesome! The cocktails are some of the best we've had. Wine selection has all our favorites. So glad to have this laid back, beautiful, hidden gem. I hate to give it the praise it deserves because I love it's easy to book and get in, but people need to know!
