Macellaio RC is a growing family of three Italian restaurants in London.
Our restaurants are most famous for its fine steak. In fact, Macellaio means "butcher" and we like to call our steakhouses the butchery with tables. The steak we serve is exclusively from the Fassona beef breed, sourced from special mountain valleys in the north of Genoa.
We take pride in sourcing incredible authentic Italian ingredients, food with utmost respect, preparing it with love, and expertly cooking each dish bringing to life a delightful trattoria dining experience.

Led by the executive chef and head butcher, the three-hour class will begin with a history behind our meat, a lesson on the importance of timing and how to select, prepare and cook the best cut. Discover the power of wine pairing, sampling the various characteristics of the wines and flavours. Afterwards, you'll be treated to a true taste of Italy with a three-course set meal against the backdrop of the dramatic and theatrical in-house butchery and bakery. Food was excellent.. location of table could have been better.. ( to near the door). Spent a lot of money .. but was overcharged £40. Best to check your bills.

When you Pay £100 à pièce of an excellent meat you intend to have a bootle of coke open in front of you, not just a glass as it was, you intend to get either a bootle of natural water or a jug of tap water but you should have the choice. We had a very good experience but we were sad to be treated as in a banal restaurant. Thanx anyway.

We arrived on time and were not greeted so we stood waiting by the door for 10mins. I had to get the hosts attention and ask if we could get a drink by the bar. By the time we were seated we waited some time before someone came over. We ordered a bottle of wine and two bottles of still water, and 2kg of Wagyu Fiorentina, the waiter wasn’t sure if they had any and said he would check. He returned some time later with the bottle of wine and no glasses, and said he would get the wine glasses. Sometime later he had no returned and he was serving other tables and taking payments so I asked a female staff member for the wine glasses and the still water. She said they could not find any wine glasses and can she get his the beer glasses, I said this was fine. He soon returned with the wine glasses and she came back with what appeared to be tap water. I told her we ordered bottled still water and she said this is still water. I let that go. So we had our water and our wine. Sometime later our food arrived cooked. The steak did not taste like wagyu so I raised the question at the end if our meat was wagyu because the waiter did not return to confirm if they had any wagyu Fiorentina remaining, and didn’t bring the meat to show us before cooking which is what usually happens in steak restaurants. We were also not offered any bread with their beef dripping butter which is what they usually serve prior to our dinner. So overall a disappointing experience from a restaurant I have enjoyed previously

Good meat, but everything else was not up to the standard and especially for the prices they have. From the ambience to the other type of food or the service, everything was average (and the roast potatoes were very bad).

Great experience, even had a surprise cake at the end to congratulate me for my graduation it was lovely. Little problem with the wine that was a bit too hot, but great experience and good food.

Amazing place. Second time here in the last month I can confidently say best steak in London. Great service by our waitress and head host.
