Macellaio RC is a growing family of three Italian restaurants in London.
​Our restaurants are most famous for its fine steak. In fact, Macellaio means "butcher" and we like to call our steakhouses the butchery with tables. The steak we serve is exclusively from the Fassona beef breed, sourced from special mountain valleys in the north of Genoa.
​We take pride in sourcing incredible authentic Italian ingredients, food with utmost respect, preparing it with love, and expertly cooking each dish bringing to life a delightful trattoria dining experience.

    Steak tasted superb. Broccoli and roast potatoes also good. Organic wine good value. Plates could have been hotter. Chocolate cake ok nothing special for £8. Would go back but you'll have to pay £100 per head for the best meat.

    Quite a long wait to be served (25 minutes to be offered water for the table). Very friendly waiter. Meat tasty, but rather overpriced.

    I am allergic to garlic. I felt sick at night with a severe allergic attack. I suppose the meat was contaminated with garlic or cooked on the same grill where other foods with garlic had been cooked. I expected more attention.

    Table reserved for 8.15pm : we sat at 8.55pm ( they offered 2 focacce for apologizing) Ordered the food: they forgot one filled plate which arrived only when everybody had already finished, plus 4 side dishes arrived much later than our main courses ( they offered some desserts for apologizing). Place was very noisy and defenitely the service was not efficient at all. But the meat/fillet was good.

    Horrendous.. we ordered a special cut (Fassona) and the steak was disgusting. Chewy, rubbery, impossible to swallow, insanely overcooked, felt as if cooked a week before. I’m amazed how they even managed to produce something so horrendous. What is more the waiter didn’t want to replace it. I really felt scammed. Avoid at all cost.
