Our family has been in the restaurant business spanning decades and numerous generations. More recently, the Cavallino's are the former owners of "Enzo & Lucia's" in Long Grove, IL. As our family continues to grow and expand into new suburbs, so does our network of family restaurants.

"Made in Italy Trattoria" is located in Glen Ellyn, IL. Our Italian style restaurant provides a romantic and quaint atmosphere while offering a menu made of authentic Italian family recipes prepared by actual Italians. We go to Made in Italy a few times a month. The food is always outstanding. It is a hidden gem. We highly recommend it.

Been to this restaurant at least a dozen times taking friends there it’s above and beyond mine Ron’s to die for even the bread is good. We always get this special called Italian chicken, covered with pistachio with broccolini and a side of mostaccioli done with just garlic and olive oil great dinner Then we split one of their brought in from Italy gelatos last night. We had pistachio and they put a little chocolate sauce and ground pistachio nuts on top. It was just terrific. Great dinner highly recommended very few Italian places that make you feel like you just stepped into Italy.

Been coming here for years for dinner and frequently get their prepared meals. It is usually excellent. This Friday was a disappointment. Had a reservation for two @7pm. When we entered the main dining room, it was full. Many people were waiting in line to check in, but they were so busy there was no one to talk to. We stood there for 15 minutes and then left. Fortunately, we thought to go inside their annex next door and there were open tables. Our server was great but the food was disappointing. Tough chicken breast, pasta entree lacking flavor,bread stale. I've watched this restaurant grow. Now, in addition to their takeout and prepared meals, they are opening a sub shop. They should keep their focus on their core business.

The food was great, the prices reasonable and the service attentive. It’s is a small building and the noise level high, so the conversation was impacted since two of our party use hearing aids. We may wait for summer and the return of the outdoor seating before we go back, but we will return for sure.
