The food was excellent. The service attentive but not overbearing. They have my favorite dessert in Houston. Their lemon budino is perfect and I haven’t found anywhere that serves anything remotely like it. An absolute must for any lemon lovers!

My wife had heard about Magdalenas’s Trattoria Pizzeria from a girl friend. Having Pizzeria in their name does not do justice to this restaurant. The experience was so much above my expectations. The food was exceptional the atmosphere was excellent and the bill reasonable for what we received. We will return to this restaurant.

This is my fourth time dining at Magdalena. We have tried many things on the menu and everything has been excellent. The attention to detail, the presentation of the food, the ambience in the restaurant combine to make a pleasurable experience. The Osso Buco, mussels, seafood, pasta are very good.Someone in my party, Fortunately, always orders pizza and shares it with the others. I think the Pizza is the best Neapolitan in Houston. The salads are so fresh and presented so well every time I’ve been there. I also enjoy talking to the owner( and Head Chef) ; he visits each table and his stories from cooking around the world are quite interesting.

We decided to try this restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation. I was very disappointed. We specifically asked no extra salt on our food. Everything, from the pizza sauce to the spinach on the quail and polenta dish, was extremely salty. The only exception was the pizza bread. The flash fried artichoke was not edible. It was like chewing on wood chips. The prices are very high for the quality of the food. The only thing we all enjoyed very much was the budino lemon dessert. That was excellent. Still $14 dollars for a dessert… we will not be back.

Everything is delicious -- we think this restaurant should be full all the time- They have a small but well curated Menu pizzas are great as well as any of the pastas which are made in house by scratch with organic ingredients. Great care is taken in the choice of wines and the presentation of each dish. Don't forget the tiramisu, which is the best version of itself ever! And even better, if you love your wine, you can buy a bottle to take home- Prices are very reasonable. Go for the authentic Italian food -- it's amazing.
