Mägo is a family owned and operated fine dining restaurant from Chef Mark Liberman. We offer an exciting tasting menu cooked over wood fire, offering our take on Contemporary Colombian fare, anchored in an understanding of using Northern California ingredients, simple flavors in bold combinations.

Our tasting menu focuses on ingredients that are at their most peak in deliciousness .This usually means produce that is in season, which in turn means they are their most flavorful, which is one of the reasons why we change our menu daily. In order to ensure the proper planning of your evening, please allow for 2.5 hours.

We also offer an a la carte dining experience at our bar that is available for walk in guests.

The restaurant’s informal atmosphere features an open kitchen surrounded by intimate tables, outdoor heated garden patio and chefs counter seating. From the warm greeting you receive upon entering until your final goodbye, we invite you to feel at home.

I think this is one of the best restaurants in Oakland, California. Everyone should try this restaurant.

Wow! What took me so long? I knew about the good reviews long before I made reservations but hesitated due to my lack of knowledge of Colombian food. I didn't know they'd have such a creative vegetarian option, they did! I had no idea food could be so favorable and varied. It is! I had no idea a tasting menu could be so generous. It was! The wine menu was great, the service was exceptional, and the decor is very relaxing. When my dinner mate and I left, we were surprised to see we had been there over 2 hours. I normally do not last that long at a dinner. It is a reasonable price for what you get, there were 8 menu items, all exceptionally different and 2 desserts. I will be going back.

Chef Mark and the team always serve a great meal. The drinks Em makes are always amazing—alcoholic or nonalcoholic. Aya answered all of our questions about the menu. Another wonderful dinner at Mägo.

Fantastic experience and menu!! Made my Dad who is not an adventurous eater happy - he could not stop raving about the food! Thank you for you consistently incredible service and creative menus.

The staff at Mago were outstanding and accommodating. The food and beverage pairings were creative. It is a bit pricey, but nice for a special occasion.

I made a reservation for the tasting menu to enjoy with my husband and parents visiting from Korea. The food was as comforting as it was elevated, and the beverage pairings were all fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to treat their loved ones to a creative meal that is also approachable; we all had a wonderful time.

Food was PHENOMENAL. I will be back. The flavors married so perfectly. Everything I had, I loved. The baby coconut tostada was 10/10.
