We have eaten at Maguro 3 times now and previously had a great experience but this time the atmosphere was off-putting. They have two sides to the restaurant, one with orders eg Uber eats/deliveroo etc and one side more fancy looking where the toilets are, and unluckily our table was in the side with orders this time. The atmosphere was really not great due to so many orders being collected continuously throughout the night and the guy running up and down the restaurant and rushing around, also there was an issue with someone apparently trying to steal an order outside which almost caused a physical fight. It was just a bit chaotic and a completely different vibe than the other side of the restaurant. The staff were also not helping the atmosphere as were clearly more concerned about the orders and collections then those eating in. The food is great, cannot fault it but the service and atmosphere really ruined the experience. I had also added a note to say it was my birthday on the booking and they didn’t do anything for it.

Our lady server was lovely and sweet and the food was yummy, but the other man working on the floor was very rude and ruined the experience. We still left a tip, but we won’t be coming back because of him.

Lovely fresh sashimi. Served very nicely in a bento box along with miso soup. And lots of lovey salad with delicious sauce.

The food at Maguro is okay, but not worth the price. Any roll that has a mayo sauce in it ends up being drenched to the point of being inedible. The taste was good, but then it was just too heavy and too cloying. If you eat here, Maki rolls are the way to go.

Small but perfectly formed. Well suited for a pre-cricket sushi.

The sushi was not fresh, we left most of our food untouched and paid 135£. They served us tap water and charged it 3.5£. The worst dining experience we had.
