   My previous experience was terrible! This was shortly after they opened and the food was horrible. Gave it a 2nd try and it was much improved. It's still very noisy but not as bad in the back! It is on the pricier side.

   It was our first time dining at Makawao Public House. We were pleasantly impressed. I work in restaurants on the island, so I have a high expectation for food I classify as good! The food was really good! We had the Blackened Ahi app, the upcountry salad, thesmashburger and the Braised short rib. All were delicious! The service was friendly and prompt. The cocktails were tastey as well!

   It was a special occasion and the entire staff made us feel seen and special! Everything was perfect! Mouchi Ahi appetizer - amazing! Short ribs, Curry and Smash Burger Entries were all outstanding. Great flavors! Yummy sauces...... And great cocktails too! Mahalo!

   Food was very good, a bit pricey. Noise level was very bad, bar in the dining room, disco club type of music. Made reservation on this site, and was asked if it was a special occasion, which it was. My wife's 70th BD but no mention of it by anyone. Service was standard but very generic, no interaction at all. One and done for us at the Makawao public house.
