    A buddy and I went to eat at Makers Union on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9:00pm. The food was good, and the server was attentive. There was also live music - a guy playing guitar and singing. So far, everything is perfect, right? Not really. The music was way too loud. This essentially ruined it for us. We were there for good food and conversation. When you are leaning in and reading lips all night, it becomes tiresome. If you want to hang at the bar and shout to your friends during the music, then this is your place. If you want to eat dinner and chat with friends, I'd go elsewhere on a Saturday night.

    Our waiter JP was excellent and half of the dishes were very good. Perhaps it was because of Valentine's Day, but the restaurant was very crowded and no area at the bar where we could get drinks while waiting for our table.

    We dined in for Valentine’s Day and took advantage of the 3 course pre fix menu. The flavors were excellent, but the portions for both the appetizers and desserts were barely more than a mouthful. I’ve eaten here before and enjoyed everything about the experience. Maybe shrinkflation?

    Our waitress was wonderful and made this Birthday celebration just perfect! The waitress answered all my questions on dairy in the food w/o having to run back to the kitchen. She was incredibly attentive. The food and mock-tail was outstanding! I had to replace one of the elements in my order due to dairy and would have missed the mushrooms as a result. Asked if they could add in a few and the kitchen made sure I had mushrooms in the new side I replaced it with. I didn't feel like I missed out on anything. The music was pretty cranked up when we first sat down and mellowed a bit when the singer came on. We loved our meals and the service! Plan to return to Makers Union in the future!

    First time at Makers Union, and we went for Restaurant week lunch. Their brunch options also looked good, so we will be back to try that! For the restaurant week, there was an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Everything was good--highlights were the crispy brussels sprouts and the cheesecake! Our server, Winter, was just the right blend of attentive, and kept our water glasses filled, as well as ensuring each course was served at the right intervals. She had a lot of tables, and managed them all well!

    It was a great experience. It was really packed, my only complaint was they seemed short staffed with the wait staff. The servers were busy the whole time. Thus making it harder to have prompt service. On to the food, the salmon was outstanding, the best I have ever eaten. I highly recommend it. The spinach artichoke dip was also amazing. Food was definitely top quality!!

    We ordered the French Onion soup which was described as having focaccia bread to dip in it. The first bowl had no focaccia in it. The second came with two small pieces in it. There as no bread to dip. In addition, the staff did not fill water glasses on a regular basis and had to be asked to do it.

    It is a loud drinking atmosphere restaurant. Typical menu for consuming alcohol. Service and food are meh
