We had a wonderful experience. The service was amazing and they made me feel very special as I was celebrating my birthday. The food was so delicious and I really liked the dim lighting and music choices! I would highly recommend this spot!

My husband and I enjoyed the buffet. It had enough variety. Food was good and fresh and well presented. We had been to Makiin before for specific dishes and went for buffet to sample others. It was of good value.

The service was decent , the host was really nice but the food was mediocre , especially for the prices of everything, drinks were overpriced but the cups were cute. The food came out surprisingly fast but the steak was well done and my girlfriend ordered it medium to medium well. We also added “scallops” to the steak but it should said that it is only 1 single scallop that is added, don’t know why the menu had an S at the end of scallops when it was only one scallop. The rice tasted a bit old, especially with the texture of it like it had been sitting all day. Ordered ice cream for dessert and for some reason it took almost a full hour just to get one cup of ice cream. Do not understand how the food came out in sub 15 minutes but the ice cream took 45+ minutes

Had such a lovely evening at MaKiin. Not only was this the best Thai food I have EVER had in my life, but the service was incredible (I wish I remembered their names, the two servers were perfect), the ambience was amazing and the whole experience was magical.

Man let me tell you, I was celebrating getting married, and they took the best care of us. This place was amazing. I forgot the name of the manager and the host but they were sooo nice. The servers and runners were very professional and informative. This is some of the best Thai cuisine I've ever had. The presentation is very artistic, very elegant. The food is some of the best in houston. They have affordable pricing, with great portion sizes, and free parking. This restaurant deserves 10 stars. Thank you Makiin!!!!

10 out of 10.. from the food , the ambiance, the service ‼️ everything exceeded my expectations. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly ..when I’m in town again I will be back

We tried the buffet. Some food remained empty while we were there. Food quality reminded me of a free sample chicken on a toothpick that they pass out in the mall foodcourt. Food on the buffet line was cold and unattended. Shrimp tom yum soup had ZERO shrimp. I just hated everything about this restaurant. Cheap furniture, bad service and unattended buffet line. You can tell they are cutting corners in every way possible. Cheap ingredients and badly executed food. It’s one of those places where people go once and never return.

The food and ambiance were great. Our waiter was a little slow as he was bartending and serving tables but was nice overall. Would go back again the next time I’m here.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Makiin! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for the evening. While the food was delicious—each dish thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients and rich flavors—the real standout of the night was our waitress, Kiera. Kiera provided exceptional service throughout our meal. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made our experience even more enjoyable. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring that everything from drinks to timing between courses was seamless.
