   The food and service were fantastic! The mood of the restaurant was vibrant yet calming at the same time. Overall, the food was some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten in Houston. We will definitely be going back!

   We went here for Christmas dinner and this place did not disappoint!! Beautiful restaurant w special details everywhere down to the cutlery, glasses and beautiful cocktails along w food presentation. Our server was very professional, efficient and friendly, especially being it was a holiday. I cannot remember her name but she made our experience that much better! Only complaint was we arrived at 5pm and were told cocktails and wine was half off, which we found generous. However when our check arrived, my dirty martini was not half off and quite pricey, nor was my red wine. When my husband mentioned the fact, server said ordered after HH ended, but not the case! We got our check at 7:11 and I ordered my martini upon arrival and my wine around 6:20. So something went wrong w the drink prices but my husband’s both drinks were HH prices. We will definitely return!

   Staff is wonderful - attentive and accommodating. Food is creative and delicious with wonderful presentation and seasoning. One of our favorite places for special occasions.

   Literally everything was OUTSTANDING. Our waitress, the drinks, the food, dessert… We even met the owner and she is so kind! 1000/10 would go here again and recommend!

   One of the best spots in Houston! The food was amazing, the service was prompt, and the staff were incredibly professional. It was both my husband's and my birthday, and we had a truly wonderful evening!

   Came here on a date, and I honestly and truthfully we will probably not come back. Granted we were a bit late as there was no parking but when we came into the restaurant we stood at the hostess booth for 5-10 minutes before someone acknowledged us. Server even passed us up without saying anything…so disrespectful. The food…it was very bland and my boyfriend ate his crispy garlic chicken because he was hungry but he didn’t care for it. It wasn’t crispy and was a bit on the soggy side. I ordered the seafood dish with vermicelli noodles and it was flavorless. On top of that the server barely came to our table to check on us, or even ask us if we liked the food. I really was excited to try this place, but they dropped the ball. Definitely do not recommend and will not be returning.

This is valuable feedback that will help us get better and ensuring our food and service remain consistence to our standard. I can assure that this is not the normal service at MaKiin and I can understand how frustrate it is if no one welcoming you at the door. We are short of Hostess that night but I am working on the way to ensure this is not happen again if same situation happen in future. The two dishes you were mentioning, is very popular! I would love you have you both come back again and give us a chance to make it right. Perhaps second date night! I promise we will not do everything to make you have great experience!
