The food and the service were both good. You can definitely tell the pasta is made fresh and the food authentic. This is a nice neighborhood find! The only downside was the smell when you walk into the restaurant. I can’t quite explain it but reminds me of an older home smell. Even with the unpleasant smell when you walk in the service and food made up for it.

Service was great. Tomato sauce was very good. Caesar salad, while lettuce was fresh- zero taste.- must have forgotten most important ingredients,.We enjoyed our entrees . Entertainment was nice . Desserts were ok

This was our first time here and I’m afraid to say, probably our last. Cocktails took about 15 min to be delivered to the table. A breadbasket was put down fairly quickly, with bread plates. I had part of a piece of bread on my plate (the other part of the bread was in my hand to eat), when the appetizers were served…..my bread plate was quickly whisked away. They also snatched up the breadbasket shortly thereafter and we needed to ask for a new one. First course was the Eggplant Parm and the Beef Carpaccio. The eggplant was a little off-putting. I’ve never had eggplant parm that was so mushy. The eggplant was not fried and appeared to maybe have been sautéed until it was soft and like mush. Then it was layered with cheese and sauce. Thankfully it had good flavor but I couldn’t get past the texture. The Beef Carpaccio was supposed to be filet but having had this hundreds of times at other restaurants, I can tell you, it was not filet. Perhaps sirloin? It was sliced a little thicker than we’re used to and extremely chewy. Good thing we asked for the breadbasket back so we had something to eat it on! The arugula salad with it was dressed nicely and was refreshing. My husband had the chicken parm and I do have to say, it was delicious. Chicken was crispy yet tender. Didn’t love the tomato sauce, for my liking it could have been blended in a blender to be saucy instead of just big chunks of tomato. The spaghetti with marinara was cooked perfectly but again, didn’t love the sauce. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese. The noodles were overcooked. But you can definitely tell their pasta is homemade, so that was a plus. The Bolognese was tasty (maybe a tad salty…but that may be my being a little picky?). Grated cheese was not served on anything and needed to be requested. We did enjoy the Italian Paloma and Classico Chianti with our meal. It just felt like a weird evening. Between the breadbasket issue and the waitress asking us the same questions over and over, it was odd.

Another wonderful meal! Jessica provided great service and the food is consistently excellent!

We went to Mamma Lucy’s last night for the first time. Our waiter was Chris and his service was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu and great personality. Food was very authentic and delicious. Portion sizes are big, so come hungry or you will have lunch for the next day :-). We will definitely be making this a regular dining spot!
