Outstanding meal in a really cool spot. Loved the decor and the food was excellent. The shrimp petardo appetizer was very good and the shrimp tallarine was one of the best entrees I’ve had in a long time. Incredible flavors. We loved this place.

Fun atmosphere, really liked how they didn’t pressure us to hurry through dinner and allowed us to take our time and enjoy!! Some restaurants are just so pushy and Mar y Sol is not, really appreciated that!!

The food was very good-no question about that, and the remodeling done from the previous restaurant was beautiful. But the dining experience was destroyed by the incredibly loud, thumping music that made dinner conversation virtually impossible. When will Dallas restauranteurs learn that people go to fine dining establishments to enjoy good food and friendship, not to have their ears bombarded by 80+ decibels (I have an app to measure that) of noise? The final insult was an upcharge for paying by credit card. Will not be recommending this restaurant nor will we return. Sad, because I really did like the food.

I ordered steak medium rare and it came out well done and tasted like catered hotel food. I felt awkward saying anything because it was a work dinner but it didn’t feel worth the money. Also the cocktails were watered down with too much ice so felt like not worth the price. I’m ok paying higher prices for a good vibe but I don’t know if I’d want to go back.

Enjoyed the drinks! Bartenders are awesome and so accommodating with their suggestions for their creative drinks, the ambiance is so welcoming. Had a great time and decided to just sit at the bar and give up our table.

Awesome place . Love the food, service, ambience and drinks. Why is a restaurant so loud though. We shouted to have a conversation and noted all the tables around us doing the same. The music was loud when we walked in and seemed to get louder. The noise level was the only negative. But it was a significant negative.
