    My wife and I visit on occasion and every visit leaves us wanting more. We were going to try a different restaurant for this Valentine season, and when we searched around and reviewed menus, we decided to just make our reservations again with Marblehead chowder House. You just can’t go wrong coming here for professional service and an excellent experience. Rating is 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

    We had a great lunch at Marblehead. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the place was cozy.

    Very disappointed experience. To begin, the seating in the bar area was extremely uncomfortable, not in the sense of the furniture, but in the sense that it is a very long open booth arrangement along the wall, with tiny tables set up very close together. As a result of the closeness to strangers, everyone had to speak in a whisper so as not to be heard by others. The tables are very small as well, offering no room for food and drinks. The food: I had the crab Norfolk. It was mediocre at best. No seasoning, bland taste, and a very small portion for $32.99. The baked potato came without being sliced, and with no condiments. Just a potato. My wife had the filet topped with crabmeat. She was only offered one side instead of two. She wanted the steak medium but it came out very well done. The appetizer of crab dip was so small that we each only had a tablespoon before it was gone. Save your money and time.

    The staff are very friendly and the hostess gets you seated in a timely fashion. And the food portion are great,and good tasting.

    Went for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. Overall, the food was very good. I thought the portions were a little small. The crabcake was overcooked. But that definitely would not stop us from returning. The server Charlotte was friendly, helpful, provided prompt service, and was knowledgeable. This was our first time at Marblehead and we definitely plan to return.

    Very disappointing since Marblehead is usually very dependable and we go often. I understand it was a holiday but it was not a good experience. We should have spoken to a manager but we just wanted to leave. I left a private message for management to explain.

    We had excellent service and fantastic food which made for a GREAT Valentine's Day. Can't wait til the next visit.

    I had the 9 oz fillet and my wife had the fillet Oscar. Mine was done perfectly as medium rare and my wife's selection had a generous portion of crab. Our waiter was very professional checking on us but not hovering. Very busy evening the night before Valentine's Day but the kitchen and staff were keeping up very nicely
