   Outstanding food and service. Menu has a nice variety at a reasonable price. We had sea scallops, rack of lamb, and peppered salmon. Everyone was delighted.

   We have dined at Marcel several times since its reinvention. Food this time was not quite as good as previous experiences, maybe because there was a very large party that seemed to take up all of the oxygen in the room. Clearly the same chef/owner was present and our server was attentive, but there was a palpable concern about the large group and getting all of its menu choices prepared and served. Probably a lesson to avoid Holiday season. (We never thought that the end of Thanksgiving weekend would be an issue). Bottom line: We will return but we do not believe that the kitchen is staffed to manage large group dining as well as individual table dining to everyone's satisfaction.

   This was my third time there, love the restaurant. Food is great, drinks are great, owner and waitstaff are great. One thing for me is put bread on the menu, I got the snapper and wanted some to sop up the juices😊

   My favorite restaurant in downtown Sarasota. You can have bustling main room, or quiet hallway high tops. Food is fantastic, my favorites being the mushrooms and peppered salmon. Sounds like a little thing, but one really nice touch is they line the leftover boxes with tin foil. Sure makes the trip home easier and keeps the food fresher, too!

   This is our 2nd visit to Marcels and it was even better than the first. The green bean appetizer is unique and outstanding. The food and service from Jaimie was exceptional.

   This was our first visit and we will definitely return. Both the offerings (Mortadella Toast, White Anchovies, Snapper on lobster zucchini pasta, Salmon and Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with Nutella) and the service were excellent. Although the wine list is brief it has a delightful variety and is quite reasonably priced.

   Truly a great addition to Sarasota dining scene! The menu is an inventive french twist and the owner is a wonderful person! Definitely a very good spot for dining with friends & loved ones! Well done!

   Food was excellent! The restaurant was very quiet, with mostly quiet 2ppl on dates; which made our group a little uncomfortable as we were chatting. Might be solved by a little more music to reduce the awkward quiet.
